Iceland - trip to Reykjavík, Akureyri, snowboading on Hlíðarfjall | a cinematic video
A cinematic video from a trip to Iceland. Visited multiple landmarks in Reykjavík capital city like Höfði, Laugavegur, Skólavörðustigur, Hallgrímskirkja and Harpa. Then moved up north to Akureyri and also shot on the Hlíðarfjall mountain while snowboarding.
Shot mostly on Canon 77D DSLR camera with the ultra-wide EF-S 10-22mm lens from Canon and a Glidecam XR-2000. 120fps footage from the mountain shot on smartphones.

April 9 2014 Hlíðarfjall, Akureyri, Iceland
Started the day at 9am skinning up the closed resort (opens at 12). Got to the top in a whiteout but decided to wait around and the skies opened up to bluebird conditions so I kicked steps to the top which was hardwork in snowboard boots (forgot crampons/iceaxe).
From there I had one of the best days of the season, an entire mountain range to myself. I rode 6 lines, ran out of food and water and returned at 4pm.
