Sema Ayini, dünyada kabul görmüş Sufilerin belki de en büyüklerinden biri olan Mevlana’nın felsefesini yansıtır. Mevlana’ya göre, insanın evrimi henüz tamamlanmamıştır. Çünkü insan, olgun, kamil ve mükemmel olmak üzere yaratılmıştır. İnsan-ı Kamil olmak, insanın iyi, ahlaklı, yardımsever, sevgi dolu biri haline gelmesi demek değildir. Ego var olduğu sürece, bu niteliklere sahip olduğumuzu düşünmek tam anlamıyla kendini aldatmadır. Sema töreni, İslam sufizminde Nur-u Muhammedi denen yüce ruhun yaratılıp ‘Kün/Ol’ emriyle başlayan iniş ve sonra da insan-ı kamil olmaya doğru yükselişinin öyküsünü anlatır. Diğer bir söyleyişle Sema, kulun hakikate yönelerek ve aşkla yücelip nefsini terk ederek Hak’ta yok oluşu ve olgunlaşmış olarak tekrar geri dönüşünü temsil eden, ruhani bir yolculuktur.”

Hodjapasha Dance Theatre is a restored 550 years old Turkish bath as Hodjapasha Hamam. It was built by Hodja Sinan Pasha who was a teacher and later vizier to Fatih Sultan Mehmet during 1470’s. It was a double bath for both man and women. It is comparatively a big bath with high dome, made of cut Stone and also comer walks are designed like a peacock tail. This building served as a Turkish Bath till 1988.
White Rose
White Rose is a theatral dance show that sensationally combines harem dance, priental dance and modern dance together while exposing daily Ottoman harem life in Topkapi Palace. Theme is based on an extraordinary true love story experienced between an Ottoman slave woman and the Dutch ambassador during Tulip period in 18th century. Awesome costumes and 360 degree video mapping projection will make you feel that you are living in history. The play is performed by 25 dancers including male and female belly dancers.

Turkish women sure can make heads turn - and when they perform a belly dance, you can be sure to go gaga!!
Where do you witness such acts? There are many options but the Hodjapasha Culture Center in Istanbul's Old City (the Sultanahmet area) is one of the places to go. Meet the belly dancer of your dreams here, as she puts on an admirable performance for over an hour along with many other dance forms of Turkey.
Turkish Dance Nights
The center presents the Turkish Dance Nights, 3-4 times a week. This show is performed by the Hamam Dance Troupe which consists of 25 experienced dancers and musicians. Dances from different regions of Anatolia are performed, both solo and in groups. Dancers are dressed in specially designed costumes, with modern choreography acts enlivened with live music. Visitors can also view a multimedia exhibition in the foyer area covering the history of dance in Turkey going back 10,000 years.
About the Hodjapasha Culture Center (taken from official website)
This Culture Center is located at the center of the historical peninsula of Istanbul and was converted from a 550 year-old historical Turkish bath called Hocapaşa Hamamı in 2008. It was originally built by Hoca Sinan Paşa who was a teacher and later vizier to Fatih Sultan Mehmet during 1470's. It was a double bath for both men and women. It was comparatively a big bath with a high dome, made of cut stone and also corner walls were designed like a peacock's tail. This building served as a Turkish bath till 1988. Location of the area is called Sirkeci which is next to Topkapı Palace Walls , Sirkeci Train Station formerly known also as Orient Express Train Station and Sultanahmet Area.
