Illegal Communion Wine?! - St Joseph Norman OK - Dust Bowl Catholic
Norman OK, is known as the home of the University of Oklahoma and the OU Sooners football team. However, it's Catholic community is older than the school. In fact, the Irish and German immigrants who founded the St Joseph's Catholic Church came there in the land run. Through the years, the community has persevered, dealing with a state legislature that outlawed communion wine but also built a beautiful Church and has maintained it for almost seventy years.

Perspectives: Bishop Edward Slattery of the Tulsa Diocese
Countering with prayer the proposed Black Mass in Oklahoma City
As has been widely reported, a Satanic Black Mass has been scheduled for September 21 in Oklahoma City’s Civic Center. As a part of Satanic worship, a Black Mass attempts to invert the action and meaning of the Eucharist in order to mock Christ’s sacrifice and worship Satan through an orgiastic ritual of pain and perversion. It blasphemes everything which we hold as sacred and redemptive; and the spiritual dangers it poses ought not be dismissed. Since the Civic Center has not responded positively to the pleas of the Archbishop of Oklahoma City not to host this event in a tax-payer supported public venue, I am asking the faithful Catholics in the Diocese of Tulsa to fight this blasphemy through prayer and fasting.

oldest Episcopal church on the Pacific Coast
Trinity Church, established in 1849, is the oldest Episcopal church on the Pacific Coast. It is the second oldest congregation in the City of San Francisco. The first Episcopal service was held in the American House on Stockton Street on July 8, 1849, by Flavel Scott Mines. A week later the decision was made to form a congregation, and the first church building was erected that same year. Flavel Mines was elected as rector. In 1852 the congregation moved into a new and larger church, and in 1867 into an even larger church. The present edifice, the fourth, was built here on the corner of Gough and Bush in 1892 after a design based on Durham Cathedral in England
