How To Catch Sailfish On Circle Hooks! Ep 89 ONZZ Fishing Adventures (Rompin, Malaysia) Part 1
This time, the ONZZ team heads up to Rompin, West Malaysia, for the Royal Pahang Billfish International Challenge to see how many Sailfish we can land on circle hooks. With the help of our excellent skipper, we actually put up a pretty good challenge.
Trying to set circle hooks on billfish such as sailfish can be pretty challenging, but we soon got the hang of it. Our Mustad Tuna Circle Hooks and Demon Circle Hooks performed well. It was a truly memorable experience!
Arguably the Sailfish Capital of the World, well, at least, Asia, Rompin Malaysia boasts a healthy population of these majestic Sailfish. Promoting good catch and release practices, such as not removing the fish from the water when caught, using only circle hooks, and avoiding prolonged fights, the fishing skippers in Rompin have managed to keep the Sailfish around in good numbers, which in turn provide a good source of income for that little town itself. I'll definitely be back for more!

We are back with our first ever Chase Series Vlog, presenting to you this year’s Rompin fishing trip in Malaysia. Received the news that the Tengiri (Spanish Mackerels) were making their way into the nearby waters off Tioman Island. Gathering the usual fishing buddies, we made our way to Rompin, Malaysia. We found ourselves a few miles off the reefs of Tioman Island trying to hit the holy Mackerels!

Hands down, one of the most exciting deep sea experiences we've had in Malaysia with Hook on C Adventures in Kuala Rompin. Our hunt for the majestic Indo-Pacific Sailfish introduced us to a variety of healthy species available in Rompin's waters- two Cobias and a Shark on a windy, gloomy day at sea had us finding our balance, juggling panic and excitement as the battle for Naweshad and Chris ended beautifully.

30 minutes of endless runs and struggle to bring in this heavyweight with strong winds all around. Whilst Mike's Sailfish was rather well behaved, mine decided to take me on a tour around the boat, a couple of times. One of the most exciting Deep Sea battles I've encountered.
