About Me //
I am 24, from Marietta, Georgia and I started this channel in 2013 in my final semester of my college. After graduating from Auburn University in Alabama I spent four months in Europe and tried my hand at vloging. You can watch the whole series here and forgive me for filming it on my iPhone. Right after traveling I moved to DC where I lived for two years. Last summer I backpacked through Central America and produced a 10 part vlog series about that as well. I currently am traveling on World Race. The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries. I post videos almost every day, so subscribe and stay a while if you want to see more.
Thanks for watching,
Julia

Malaysia Rompin Macks & Mahi 3D2N S4E14 Day 1 ONZZ Fishing Adventures
This time I head down to Rompin for a 3D2N fishing trip covering the waters from Rompin to Tioman on the East Coast of Peninsula Malaysia. The main target was the Spanish Mackerel, known by locals as Tenggiri or Batang. We had good fun!
MALAYSIA PART 2 - (Malacca to Mersing) - The Way Overland - Episode 31
As we drive further down the west coast of Malaysia we arrive at the old town of Malacca where we walk the somewhat trendy canal, visit a “pirate” ship, enjoy some street food at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Jonker Street, and take in the European inspired architecture.
Our camp spot in Malacca is a little north of town on some newly developed ocean front property which we landed for a great price (free)! It even came with our own private police posting and received a visit from them at 1:30AM to check that we were okay.
Eager to get away from the high rises and touristy areas our next stop is on the east coast at a little town named Mersing. We were planning to go out to Tioman Island from here to do some diving though unfortunately the weather was not in our favour so we decided it’d be best to use the money going somewhere else with more promising conditions.
Not all bad news though as we found a “cracking” camp spot on our own little beach. We were treated to a magnificent sunset here and the following day had plenty of local visitors which kept Jolie on her toes.
In the next episode we’ll keep driving north towards Cherating. In the right season this is Malaysia’s surf spot. We weren’t expecting much though as the forecast was predicting 0.1m of swell!

Tioman Island - Tourist Attractions in Malaysia
Tioman Island (Malay language: Pulau Tioman) is a small island located 32 km off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Pahang, and is some 39 km long and 12 km wide. It has eight main villages, the largest and most populous being Kampung Tekek in the north. The densely forested island is sparsely inhabited, and is surrounded by numerous coral reefs, making it a popular scuba diving spot. There are also a lot of resorts and chalets around the island which has duty-free status.
Its beaches were depicted in the 1958 movie, South Pacific as Bali Hai. In the 1970s, TIME Magazine selected Tioman as one of the world's most beautiful islands.
The island is served by ferries from the Malaysian mainland, and a propeller plane service by Berjaya Air from the Changi Airport in Singapore and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, Selangor.
Pulau Tioman is a part of Rompin district of Pahang, and within Tioman island has 4 kampung: Salang, Tekek, Juara and Air Batang.
Perodua Kancil Road Trip Peninsular Malaysia in 11 Days
12 States of Peninsular Malaysia in our Kancil
Our last roadtrip with our Lamboryellowghini (Perodua Kancil) was in 2016. We clocked a mileage about 1700km. So was my vlog in my Youtube channel, that was the last one.
I stopped vlogging for a while when my desktop crashed & since then I started shooting more pictures than videos. Right after Krabi, I sent Lamboryellowghini for certain make overs. Engine overhauled, installed the roof box, changed to semi-bucket, rewired the audio & replaced the shocks. All upgraded were done with one aim, for our next epic journey.
2017 was a special year as our family grew. We had Tasmia, completing Tamimi's angels trio. And December seems the right time since she will be 9 month old by then. Right but not perfect because she can't sit still most of the time & always wanted to practice her walk. Plus, she always made her puss in boot's face every time we eat. Hoping that we share our food.
So, tour the peninsular with family in a Kancil may sounds a bit crazy. Maybe because that's just us. Crazy over tiny, nimble, durable & cheap machine for our crazy travel timeline. According to my wife, as long as the aircond works, vrooom! Here we go. (Actually, my Kancil sounds vriiiiim)
Like our previous roadtrip, the journey should be enjoyable & meaningful. Granted that I am now juggling with 3 lil mermaids. It was a bonus if I could hold my camera & record as we go. Hence why the shots were only in certain places. I borrowed a DJI Spark from a good friend of mine, Fifi. Only after we reached Gerik I managed to pilot that tiny U.F.O.. I might buy the drone from him.
Some good shots were possible when we set a maximum drive time about 3 hours drive in a day. Credit to my wife who also pre-plan our baggage every time we checked in & out. We only start to move when Tasmia had her breakfast & morning poo poo. Preferably went for brunch & early dinner so that we can save a lot of time (tired of waiting).
About 40% of accommodation weren't pre-booked. That was intentional just to allow flexibility for us to check the location & distance with other attractions as we go. Importantly, always fill up my gas tank when half full. We last our peninsular roadtrip about 2300km & spent RM300 for petrol (RON95 @ RM2.25 & RM2.26 per litre during time of travel).
For reference, these are the destinations that we took during our roadtrip :
Day 1: Cyberjaya - Muar, Johor
Day 2: Muar - Sedili, Johor
Day 3: Sedili - Rompin, Pahang
Day 4: Rompin - Cherating, Pahang
Day 5: Cherating - Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu
Day 6 - Kuala Terengganu - Tanah Merah, Kelantan
Day 7: Tanah Merah - Gerik, Perak
Day 8: Gerik - George Town, Penang
Day 9: George Town - Jejawi, Perlis
Day 10: Jejawi, Perlis (stayed 2 nights in Perlis)
Day 11: Jejawi - Cyberjaya
Like any other working middle class dad, I'm so proud of my daughters. They are the best company for the roadtrip. & because of them, it was an epic journey. Credit to Tihani (5 year old daughter) who did the voice over for this video. Yes, we recorded all of them under the blanket.
Tune up & enjoy our short video.
