***MAKE SURE YOU WATCH IN 1080P - GO TO SETTINGS -- QUALITY -- 1080P HD***
On my epic summer Canadian adventure, I visited Hopewell Rocks, otherwise known as Flowerpot Rocks, on the Bay of Fundy, home of the world's HIGHEST & LOWEST TIDES, and one of North America's Seven Wonders of Nature!! Hopewell Rocks is a beautiful park with an amazingly maintained tidal viewing area. The 10-15 minute walk to the viewing area is one of the most beautiful hikes, lined with massive pines, and the Hopewell Rocks themselves are otherwordly! Between the fresh smell of pines and the smell of the chocolate sea, I walked away feeling like I had taken a bath in the cleanest smells that nature has to offer. I hope you enjoy this trip to the world's lowest tide and the beautiful formations it has created! Please hit subscribe if you're new here, lots more adventures to come! Thank you!!

The Hopewell Rocks - OFFICIAL Time Lapse video of 45.6 foot tide
The Hopewell Rocks Tidal Exploration Site is a fantastic place to experience the Bay of Fundy's world famous tides. To help our guests understand a full tide cycle, we set up a camera and took 1 photograph per minute from before sunrise until after sunset. The resulting 926 photos were then each used as a frame of video to create this glimpse of the world's largest tides. To fully appreciate this natural wonder, come spend a day with us on the ocean floor.

Tilted layers of sandstone at Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy
The Hopewell Rocks, also called the Flowerpots Rocks or simply The Rocks, are rock formations caused by tidal erosion in The Hopewell Rocks Ocean Tidal Exploration Site in New Brunswick. They stand 40–70 feet tall.
They are located on the shores of the upper reaches of the Bay of Fundy at Hopewell Cape near the end of a series of Fundy coastal tourism hubs including Fundy National Park and the Fundy Trail. Due to the extreme tidal range of the Bay of Fundy, the base of the formations are covered in water twice a day. However, it is possible to view the formations from ground level at low tide.[Note 1]
GGC - 37 - The Hopewell Rocks, the Bay of Fundy, and the Highest Tides in the World
The final installment of our Eastern Canada Road Trip. After crossing the Confederation Bridge from PEI to New Brunswick, we checked out the World's Largest Lobster, saw a 23 year newer version of our camper van, and explored the Hopewell Rocks in the home of the highest tides on Earth, the Bay of Fundy.

Hopewell Rocks New Brunswick Canada 2017
The Hopewell Rocks are situated just south of Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick where the Petitcodiac River enters the Bay of Fundy. The Bay of Fundy has the world’s highest tides and these tides have carved the Hopewell Rocks into many interesting shapes including a bear and an elephant. You can walk among these fantastic and whimsical rock formations on the floor of the Bay of Fundy during low tide. You’ll be amazed at how high the markers are that indicate the water level during high tide. The music is Waltz of the Flowers by Tchaikovsky.
Fast Rising Tide at The Hopewell Rocks
The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world. What better place to experience these massive tides than the Hopewell Rocks? These brave souls set out to demonstrate how quickly these tides rise.
This demonstration was filmed on the highest tides of the season. With the tide half way in, it took only 27 minutes to go from our feet to our chins. That was only 5 of the 46 feet that the tide rose that day.
Come witness this wonder for yourself at New Brunswick’s Hopewell Rocks.
The Bay of Fundy Tides are a force of nature to be approached with respect( please do not attempt this yourself )
This demonstration was done with the utmost concern for safety.
Swimming is not permitted at The Hopewell Rocks.
Special Thanks to Alan for the kayak pizza delivery!
