So it was the perfect place for me and my best friend Oddbjørn Austevik Foto to go camping and climbing in this mountain.
Me filming from the air with my drone and he covering the ground with landscape photography.
The trip from Nedstrand (Hinderåvåg) to Himakånå goes in an idyllic coastal hill and mountain scenery with several good viewpoints along the way. The trail is mostly in forest terrain, but also in some terrain on the way up to Himakånå. On the top, close to the viewpoint, the terrain is small with a pine forest - but tidy and nice trail everywhere. The view from Himakånå is enormous, not just beyond the Lysevatnet, but also southwards towards Nedstrandsfjorden.
