Hua Hin - Beach, Town, Night Market, Grand Hotel - Thailand 2019
Why Hua Hin Beaches so Popular in Thailand | The Best Beaches in Hua Hin Thailand
Why Hua Hin Beaches so Popular in Thailand | The Best Beaches in Hua Hin Thailand
Located on the western side of the Gulf of Thailand, Hua Hin has been blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The year round warmth of the seas off the coast of Hua Hin has helped make this city a popular destination for both foreigners and Thais. As one of the oldest and most traditional holiday resorts in Thailand, Hua Hin has become the perfect getaway for families. This attractive and accessible destination city has numerous wide and long beaches that are characterised by their shallow depths and mild currents, which makes any of the beaches a safe and enjoyable choice for families with young children.
Additionally, cheap and efficient public transport makes it easy to spend an entire day beach-hopping. Many visitors consider Hua Hin, Khao Takiab, Suan Son Pradiphat, Khao Tao and Cha Am to be the best beaches that this seaside resort area has to offer.

Why You MUST Visit HUA HIN!!! (Thailand) - Vlog #104
Where the first golf course in Thailand was built, Hua Hin is a hidden beach paradise nestled close to Bangkok. It's a must visit if you're looking for a nice, clean, beach atmosphere. There's so many things to do around Hua Hin, where this city is considered the gateway city to the Southern Part of Thailand. The Club Room at the Intercontinental Hotel was 12,000 BAHT which is $375 USD / Night. Let me show you why you must visit Hua Hin in a quick video, and stay luxuriously!
Cheers! #SeeLauTravel

Hua Hin Beach and Khao Takiab (Monkey Mountain) // Hua Hin, Thailand
Some might call Hua Hin a shitty, quiet beach town, but I had a really wonderful time hitting the beach and exploring the area. After getting some sun on the sand, I headed to Khao Takiab, also known as Chopsticks Hill or Monkey Mountain, where I wandered through the temple complex with some monkey companions.

Hua Hin Beach Thailand
Hua Hin Beach - Well-known for its spectacular sunrises, Hua Hin’s main beach is a 4km white, sandy strip that fringe the Gulf of Thailand, and stretches from the town center to Khao Takiap. As a result, it is never over-crowded, and lots of family-friendly activities are on offer – the likes of pony rides, banana boat rides, or rent deckchairs and umbrellas for a few lazy hours of sun-worshipping in between testing the water with your big toe. The town’s name – meaning ‘stone head’ – is derived from the rock formations that can be seen towards the end of the main beach. Other than that it is a sandy beach with a sandy seabed, making it ideal for swimming. One of the most popular pastimes on the beach is to take a long stroll – or even a jog if you’re so inclined – along with the seashore. Further south, behind Khao Takiap, lies Suan Son Beach, named after the many pine trees found along the beach. It’s even more isolated than Hua Hin Beach, mostly frequented by guests staying at nearby hotels and some locals. The main emphasis at Hua Hin’s beaches is on rest and relaxation, and they do not have the crowds often found on Thailand’s popular beaches. Water-skiing, jet ski, windsurfing, and parasailing are other popular beach activities, but in no way disrupt the overall peace and tranquility of these beaches. And since you’re in Thailand, chances are good that you’ll find an ‘al fresco’ massage shop somewhere on a beach.

Hua Hin Beach, Town walkabout + Hotels tour Budget, Luxury

*Pls note: prices shown in video were still in low season
*also did not opt in breakfast at Hilton as do not do breakky buffets (and to save $;)

*newer style train in video is #31 leaving Bkk at 14:45
*return from Hua Hin train is #40 leaving at 16:00 (express seater style)
Oh and budget or luxury? Doesn't matter, Hua Hin is the main draw.

UPDATE: Have a wedding to attend in Hua Hin upcoming so tried to book that new train #31 again. Online it said sold out so then called the SRT hotline. They said can no longer reserve for short trips (like Bkk-Hua Hin) on what is essentially a 2cnd class a/c seat but also converts into a bed for longer journeys (makes sense actually). So for short journeys looks like one either selects the 8 a.m. commuter seat a/c train, or 3rd class on others (no a/c, can get hot and seats are not comfortable). Also SRT gal said online bookings cap at 15% of total seats. But can book at stations directly. So if it says sold out online, try at the station or call SRT hotline: 1690 - can also call and reserve in advance and then pay at the station within 24 hrs.

From the Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas website:
Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin first opened its doors to welcome guests in the early 1920s, at a time when the new railway line to Malaysia was transforming the sleepy fishing village of Hua Hin into Thailand’s first beach resort. Our hotel, originally named the Railway Hotel, was built along the classic lines of that era, and today is regarded as one of the grand hotels of the East.
Sensitively extended and renovated, Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin retains its air of that bygone age of elegance. Set on the beachfront, with a wide expanse of gardens perfect for strolling and enjoying the sea breezes, and with a prime town centre location ideal for exploring and shopping, the resort is a prime destination for couples and families.
Babe and Nut stayed in a Premium Deluxe Club room #167 and #308 - (Pool View and Sea View) both from 8,700 Baht ($263) per night. Both rooms are roomy at 58 sq/m and feature high ceilings and ornate colonial decor.
Foodies can rest assured that the cuisine at Centara Grand Beach Resort is second to none. Babe enjoyed yummy continental fare at Coast Beach Club and Bistro, High Tea at The Museum Restaurant and Teppanyaki at Hagi Japanese restaurant.
During your stay at Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas be sure to pamper yourself at the Spa Cenvaree - Babe loved hers!
The Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas is the perfect destination for families and couples seeking a relaxing seaside escape within driving distance of Bangkok. Check it out - you'll thank us!

Welcome to Hua Hin, one of Thailand’s oldest beach resorts.
Surrounded by a rolling sea and towering limestone peaks, this area was one of the Thai royal family’s prized assets during the early 20th century. The present King of Thailand still has a home here, and often visits during holidays.
A tour of Hua Hin makes it easy to see why the royals were so taken with the city. The close proximity to the ocean means countless opportunities for diving, swimming, and fishing—and you’d better believe Hua Hin is home to some of the best seafood you’ll ever taste. Stay in a fabulous resort where your every whim is catered to, or select a more modest accommodation and spend your money on delicious Thai food instead.
Yes, this place is food heaven; you can take a Thai cooking course, and then practice what you’ve learned on food you purchase at one of the many street markets dotting the downtown area. If you’ve gone fishing during your trip, test out your new skills on some of your bounty from the sea.
To get a taste of the gorgeous natural surroundings, head for Sam Roi Yof National Park. This is home to quiet beaches, great tracts of marshlands, and great caves, including Kuha Karuhas Pavilion, a small shrine located within the Phraya Nakhon cavern. A visit here will help you understand the role of spirituality in Thailand.

Today we visited Thung Sam Roi Yot and Hua Hin (หัวหิน) Thailand.
First up we went to Thung Sam Roi Yot walkway, which extends for hundreds of metres over the wetlands. While most of the lotuses weren’t in bloom during our visit, we did appreciate the beauty of the place.
On our way back to Bangkok we stopped in Hua Hin and went to the cicada market, before going to the market opposite for some thai street food.
We stayed at Baan Aroka and it only costs us $35 usd per night.
