Why You Shouldn’t Fear Death
Are you living life or just surviving? Both words are very similar to one another but have very different meanings. If you are surviving, that means you have all the basic necessities of life; food, water, shelter, security. If you are living, it means you are above surviving. You are taking the life you have been given to it's fullest, enjoying every moment you have been so lucky to be a part of.
In this story, Alex is left contemplating life and death after a car accident that left him in a coma. He begins to feel confusion, anger, and regret the things he will no longer get to do. His plans to travel the world and one day marry his girlfriend can no longer be realized. But as life explains to Alex, In the moment of death you are only surviving, not living, enjoying nothing, afraid of everything. For too long Alex was only surviving forgetting to live pushing it to the future and never making it the present.
Being given a second chance, Life snapped her fingers and Alex woke-up from his coma. No longer fearing death and embracing life, he was able to travel the world and marry his girlfriend. And when the time came, Alex went with death ready without regrets and willingly.
We know this video is different than our normal ones, but we hoped you enjoyed it and have a new view on living. This video is a creative and philosophical view on life rather than a religious one. I built a like-new(but really refurbished) iPhone 6S 16GB entirely from parts I bought in the public cell phone parts markets in Huaqiangbei. And it works!

I've been fascinated by the cell phone parts markets in Shenzhen, China for a while. I'd walked through them a bunch of times, but I still didn't understand basic things, like how they were organized or who was buying all these parts and what they were doing with them.
So when someone mentioned they wondered if you could build a working smartphone from parts in the markets, I jumped at the chance to really dive in and understand how everything works. Well, I sat on it for nine months, and then I dove in.

Lecture I in my Psychological Significance of the Biblical Stories series from May 16th at Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto. In this lecture, I describe what I consider to be the idea of God, which is at least partly the notion of sovereignty and power, divorced from any concrete sovereign or particular, individual person of power. I also suggest that God, as Father, is something akin to the spirit or pattern inherent in the human hierarchy of authority, which is based in turn on the dominance hierarchies characterizing animals.
