Kumbhabishekam Adelaide Temple
Kumbhabhisekam is a purification ceremony usually performed every twelve years. Abhisheka, in general, means bathing and is derived from Sanskrit root sic, to sprinkle, to which is prefixed abhi, meaning all around. Kumbha means the Head and denotes the Shikhara or Crown of the Temple. On the appointed day and at an auspicious time, the Kumbha is bathed with charged and sanctified holy water and by a mystic process.
