# Cheap flights from India to Europe -
# Cheap hotels in Europe -
# 15 days in Europe in just 10,000 Rupees -
# Blog -
I did my first ever trip to Europe in late 2016. I learnt a lot of things during this trip which eventually helped me to shape my budget travelling in more organised way. Interestingly, I managed all the expenditures during my 15 days long trip in just Rs. 10,000 (INR). You must read my blog to know how I made this possible. Here is the link
Based on the experience of that trip, I am going to share some information which may be very helpful for everyone who is planning to do a Europe trip, especially for the first timers.
The inputs are broadly based on these topics -
1. Which are the best countries in Europe for a budget traveller? (After watching this video and other ones coming up in this series, I am sure you will know that travelling in Europe is no more a costly affair)
2. Which are the cheapest flights from India to Europe? (I have shared some tricks which will help you to get cheap flight tickets to Europe)
3. What are the visa formalities to visit European countries? (Though you are required to do a bit of paperwork to get the visa but all the hard work pay at the end. After getting THIS visa you can visit almost 26 countries)

India Travel Tips | Things You Should Know Before Visiting India
What are some things that you should know before visiting India? How expensive is India? In our India travel tips guide currency tips, transportation, hotels, safety, food and health. We share what we loved about India in terms of travel along with what we hated about India on our trip. Now let's explore travel in India in depth!
Official Exchange Rate = $1 USD = 64.14 Indian Rupee (current as of May, 2017)
Transportation in India (City to city)
1) We highly recommend train travel in India over taking the bus
2) Book your train tickets in advance online (we used cleartrip.com)
3) If you don't book tickets in advance check at major train stations to see if they have tickets reserved for foreign travelers under the tourist quota.
Local transportation
1) If you're traveling at a budget or mid-range level you'll definitely be taking your share of taxis, auto-rickshaws and man-powered rickshaws.
2) Try to know what a ride should cost in advance by researching, asking at your hotel or asking a local
3) Be prepared to bargain as rickshaw drivers often try to rip tourists off
Accommodations in India
1) Hostel in India - can start as low as $2 to 3 USD and upwards
2) 3 star Hotel in India - ($20 to $40 USD)
3) 4 or 5 star Hotel in India - (sky is the limit)
We tried to book our hotels around areas of the city we'd be exploring by day and night. Staying on the outskirts means much longer local transportation time.
Health in India
1) Make sure to get all of your recommend shots and vaccinations before going to India. Check online or with your doctor to find out what you need to get specifically
2) Carry hand-sanitizer and wet wipes to clean your hands and dirty objects you may encounter like filthy door handles
3) Drink only bottled water
4) Have Imodium handy in case you get sick to your stomach
Safety in India
1) Dress modestly (especially if you're a female)
2) Don't arrive late at night in train stations
3) Safety in numbers if you're a female traveler
General Travel Tips for India
1) Don't try to do too much or have too fast of a schedule (slow versus fast travel)
2) Pick a particular region and don't try to cover all of India
3) Mix up smaller cities with bigger cities on your itinerary in India
What to eat in India
1) Research restaurants online on sites like tripadvisor or food vlogs
2) Only eat street food or at restaurants that are busy with locals
3) Ask hotel staff or locals you encounter for recommendations
Budget meals in India can be had for roughly $2 to $5 in USD per person and fine dining get really expensive.
Things we LOVED about India(I love India)
1) Incredible train rides
2) Amazing attractions
3) Diversity of regions in India (how different they are)
4) Beautiful temples, mosques and architecture
5) Great value in terms of what you spend for what you get
6) The sense of adventure not knowing what will happen
Things we HATED about India (I hate India)
1) Getting sick and having stomach issues
2) Getting hassled by aggressive touts, rickshaw drivers and vendors
3) Often not arriving on time or as scheduled
Final Thoughts
India is one of the most adventurous countries we've ever visited as travelers. We loved our time there but it can be a polarizing place. Most people love it or hate.

India Travel Tips | Things You Should Know Before Visiting India Travel Video Transcript:
We've been back in Canada for a while now. And we've been editing all of the video footage we've shot in India and now that we're done with that we thought we should share a few travel tips for India and just maybe talk a little bit more about our experiences. So that is what our video is going to be like. We're going to be doing also kind of like a budget breakdown so if you see us staring down at our computers that is what we're doing. Yeah exactly and this will be a little bit different than the city guide tips we did because we're doing this kind for all of India as a country.
This is part of our Travel in India video series showcasing Indian food, Indian culture and Indian cuisine.
Top 10 Must Visit Places In India with a Low Budget In this Summer || Badass
Watch the top 10 places to visit in this summer with a Shoestring budget
Who doesn’t like to take a break and have a lil trip in holidays? We always think holiday trips are for
the rich. But No! There are a lot of place and travel choises that can let you enjoy your holidays but
doesn’t hurt your pocket much. Lets look at 10 such places to visit.
10. Udaipur
The grand city palace visit that is lined by Pichora lake and a refreshing boat ride followed by a
breakfast right at the lakeside is one such date you can plan with your loved ones. Don’t forget to
observe the vintage cars that are still being used by the royal familes there. Udaipur is a nice, cozy
city and exploring it at your own pace is entirely possible.
9. Amritsar
Are you a food lover? Do you love history? Very divotional? Architectures attracts you? If your
answer is Yes for any of these questions, Amritsar is where you want to land up. Alu Puris, Kulchas,
chole, and lassi… Sounds like food paradise, doesn’t it? Golden temple, Jallianwala bhag, Wagah
Border will give you the chills for a lot of reasons. Most importantly stay is not expensive at all.
Travel cost depends upon where you are starting from.
8. Mcleodganj
If you are a trek lover, you sure would’ve heard this name already. This is a Suburb of Dharmashala,
Himachal pradesh. Train way is super cheap and lets you enjoy the landscapes on the way. High level
lodging and world class views at a very affordable prices along with guided treks up on to the
mountains. Don’t forget to grab the pancakes before the trek.
7. Darjeeling
Scenic Views, huge gardens, waterfalls, temples, museums and a lot more,. Darjeeling gives a reason
to everyone for a visit. The lodges are super cheap unless you really want to go for a high end hotel.
Best place for a family vacation. And the world famous Chai. Who doesn’t want to sip a cup of tea
there?
6. Itanagar
For No. 6, we got to move to Arunachal Pradesh. The foothills of Himalayas. If you are someone who
loves shopping and crafts, you’ll never feel like coming back from there. You see the mini bus and
share-taxis very often there. The local commuting will be very budget friendly. Don’t forget to pay a
visit to the legendary Ganga Lake and Buddhist Temple.
5. ooty
Chocolates, chocolates and more chocolates. Every possible kind of cocoa butter goodness is
available here. They are made locally and sold at rates lower than the local bus fares! People who
are scared of cavities, you have Rose garden, Nilgiri Train Ride, Emerald lake and Stone house for
sight seeing. Travelling to this town in Tamilnadu is very easy and low prised for tourists, especially
for south Indians.
4. Alleppey
Ofcourse the back waters are the first thing that strikes your mind but there are a lot of other things
to do in Alleppey. You can rent an OG kayak from the local fisher men for as less as 100 bucks. Try
the authentic south indian breakfast at Udipi. Watch the sunset at Pozhiyoram beach. And if your
are still left with budget, try the Aruveydic Massages. Each penny you spend there is totally
productive.
3. Goa.
This place doesn’t really need much introduction. Shacks, Food, tattoos, alcohol.. you name it!
Everything goes very easy on your pocket. Rent a bike and hit the roads. If you are very fond of
street shopping, visit Anjuna Flea Market. Go for Paintball next time if you didn’t try it yet.
2. Kodaikanal
At 2,000 meters above sea level, if you get a room at 200/- and Fried chicken for 20/-, what more
would you ask for? The street food is so yumm here, you won’t feel like going to a restaurant. The
bus and train fares are so cheap so you don’t need to worry about the budget. Just remember that
you don’t miss Bear Shola Falls, Fairy falls, Guna cave, Pine forest and Kodaikanal lake.
1.Pondicherry
Exotic Franco-Tamil fusion cuisine, colonial chic and dead cheap alcohol makes it stand at first
position. Pondi’s seductive vibes makes it a great weekend gateway. If you are very spiritual and love
paintings too, then make sure to pay a visit to the 400-year old Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple is
dedicated to Lord Ganesh and has over forty stunning, must-see wall paintings. The water sports,
churches, Leather shopping and Aurobindo Ashram are add ons.
That’s not all!
Kasol in Himachal Pradesh, Jaipur, Pushkar in rajasthan, Varanasi and Ajanta caves are in the
extended list too. These places are very affordable to travel and stay for a quick holiday. Just plan
well and enjoy your holidays.

Best Time to Visit India
Read more about the best time to visit India, for Rajasthan, tiger safaris, Kerala and festivals in our travel guide:
At Responsible Travel, we’re often asked when the best time to go to India is. But, there isn’t a simple answer to this!
• The best time to visit India for sun worshippers is the winter season from October to February. At this time, the humidity isn’t as high as in the summer months and the monsoon rains are normally a distant memory by October.
• Tiger and elephant watching is best during the hottest, driest months, April, May and June, as tigers come out in search of water.
• Delhi and the Golden Triangle are best visited during February and March, October and November for tolerable temperatures, but you will get the crowds at popular sites.
• If you want to visit the Taj Mahal, you’ll be fed up if you turn up on a Friday. It’s closed.
• There are lots of wonderful celebrations in January, from the Kite Festival in Gujarat, Bikanar Camel Festival in Rajasthan to countrywide celebrations for Republic Day on 26 January.
• If you want to go hiking in Kerala’s Western Ghats, you are best to do so outside the monsoon peak in July and August. Houseboats don't tend to be rented out during this time either. March is generally perfect for hiking holidays in India.
• Diwali, the great Festival of Light, is always a splendid affair, falling in either October or November.
