Chinese investment spurs growth in port city of Dar es Salaam
Tanzania is one of the countries represented at the Beijing summit. Thanks to investment -- much of it from China -- a small fishing village has become one of Africa's fastest-growing cities. Now home to more than 5 million people, Dar es Salaam serves as Tanzania's commercial capital and its port is vital to the economies of landlocked countries in the region. The city is a melting pot of cultures, as CGTN's Daniel Kijo reports.

TANZANIA POLICE NA MAJAMBAZI KUONESHANA UWEZO
Tanzania-Benjamin Mengi Sends Armed Thugs To Silverdale Farm.
This video shows thugs armed with clubs sent to Silverdale Farm by Benjamin Mengi. Benjamin Mengi.
Mengi had sold the lease to the farm to British investors Stewart Middleton and Sarah Hermitage and, having been paid in full demanded the lease back. When the investors refused, Mengi instigated a savage and brutal campaign of violence and intimidation against the investors and their Tanzanian staff in order to drive them from the country.
Staff were threatened with beheadings and cut close to death with a machete attack. Property and crops were wantonly destroyed. The police did nothing to protect the investors and supported Mengi's constant criminality.
The campaign lasted four years and was supported by the police, judiciary and members of the Tanzanian government.
These thugs were part of a campaign of relentless and savage violence and harassment to force the investors from their property.
At least three of the men were armed with clubs and one threatened to use violence against Sarah Hermitage who was on the farm alone.
The thugs were being driven by Mengi's driver in Mengi's red pickup owned registration mark T76 HB. They cut the padlock to the main gate to the farm and terrified the gate keeper.
None of the men had any right to be on the property and they refused to leave.
The Regional Police commander was telephoned and refused to attend the farms or send any officers to assist the investors.
In the video the men are seen to leave, they did not.
They had herded some 100 Masai cattle at the main gate to the farm which they then stampeded along the main drive of the farm and towards the investor who stood in the road whilst speaking on the telephone to the British High Commissioner in Dar es Salaam at the time Philip Parham. The investor told Philip Parham she had to go as she was going to be killed by the cattle.
The particular incident led to the full invasion off the investor's property by Benjamin Mengi.
The police and the Tanzanian government did nothing to protect the British investors or their investment.
The next day, more thugs appeared this time with firearms!!!!

Tanzania Railway Project: New railway to bring economic growth to region
Tanzania is building East Africa's biggest railway. It's an ambitious 14 billion dollar project to connect the coastal capital Dar es Salaam to its landlocked neighbours, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Uganda. And as Daniel Kijo reports, it's expected to become a vital link for regional economic development.

Tanzania is one of Africa's fastest developing countries. Its growing middle class, with a lot of disposable income, has led to an increase in the number of private vehicles in the country's major cities. To ease traffic congestion, six flyovers are being erected in different parts of the port city of Dar es Salaam.
TANZANIA - BONGOYO ISLAND | AFRICA DAR ES SALAAM TRAVEL VLOG
Island hopping - travel vlog : Bongoyo Island (or simply Bongoyo) is an uninhabited island in Tanzania, situated 2.5km north of the country's largest city, Dar es Salaam. It is the most frequently visited of the four islands of the Dar es Salaam Marine Reserve (DMRS) and a popular daytrip for both tourists and Tanzanian residents alike for snorkelling and sunbathing.
The island lies close to the Msasani Peninsula (in the Kinondoni district of the city) and is reachable by means of a 30-minute boat ride from the mainland. The point of departure for most visitors to the island is 'The Slipways' hotel complex on the western side of the Msasani Peninsula.
The island has a very rocky shore and only two beaches. All visitors visit the beach at the northwestern tip of the island, where the boats moor and where there are some huts, drinks and food. The much longer but narrower beach along the northeastern side has no facilities and is mostly deserted. The entire island (apart from the beaches) is covered in dense forest and has a few walking trails, so only a few people venture there. This has to be the top 10 Most Beautiful Islands In The World. ( My opinion )
