Diving in Grand Cayman, Eastend
Episode 30 - Ironshore Garden, Grand Cayman
This is a nice shallow dive on the southeast side of Grand Cayman, far away from the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile Beach. Beautiful coral canyons have formed at this site, often rising nearly 20 feet above the sandy bottom. Swim throughs and overhangs provide hiding places for the resident fish, especially tarpon. Sea fans and gorgonians adorn the canyon walls and large and unique coral species are found here.

Brac Agriculture Show returns
Cayman Brac residents and visitors gathered at the Brac Agriculture Grounds on the Bluff on Saturday for the 16th annual Brac Agriculture Show.
Although the show was a little smaller this year, “Overall, it was a nice show,” said Lane Christian, a Spot Bay craft vendor. At the show, she showed off the many prize ribbons she had collected for her displays of hand-crafted items, such jewellery boxes, knitted boxes, pot holders, thatch-work picture frames, and bottle cap-decorated mirrors.
Ken Hydes, vice president of special projects and partnerships at Dart, said he had enjoyed the show, which attracted other visitors from Grand Cayman who flew over for the day to take part in the festivities. Some of the produce on offer came from the Bluff farm of Le Soleil d’Or hotel, which Dart recently purchased. Read the full story at caymancompass.com.

Eden Rock Snorkeling | Grand Cayman
Just south of downtown Georgetown, the Eden Rock snorkel spot offers arguably the finest snorkeling on Grand Cayman. Off this ironshore, the water clarity is truly exceptional, there is plentiful reef fish and three distinct massive reef formations to explore. Also known as Devils Grotto or Don Fosters, there are living coral towers and underwater grottos. Eden Rock is a large chunk of limestone that is coated with coralline algae, sponges, sea fans and patches of living coral towers. It is laced with caves and sunlit caverns. Eden Rock snorkelers tend to see grouper, stoplight parrotfish, blue parrotfish, damselfish, trumpetfish, sergeant majors, yellowtail snapper, sea turtles, eagle rays and tarpon. The Eden Rock is located in 5 to 40 foot deep water roughly 200 feet offshore marked by three large mooring buoys. The reef extends from about 150 to 250 feet offshore. This POV video of snorkeling Eden Rock off Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands was produced by SNORKELINGDIVES.COM in April 2018.

Grand Cayman Sunday Drive (Part 4)
We drive from Savannah To Bodden Town and stop at the Grapetree Cafe for an ice cold Swanky but had to make do with fresh lemonade instead. A chance to enjoy the refreshing offshore breeze and to enjoy the soothing sight and sound of the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea as we look out towards the waves breaking on the reef.
Stay with us for the next video when we drive on towards East End and stop at a roadside coconut stall for more liquid refreshment and a look at one of the blowholes on the iron shore.
