The Best Tour in Port Barton, Palawan Philippines
Best Tour in Port Barton! What to see. On our second day in Port Barton, we continued exploring different islands in Port Barton. We visited a sandbar that locals call Starfish Island because of the many starfishes surrounding the sandbar. Then we went to a beautiful beach and walked a few minutes to reach a waterfall surrounded by a rainforest. It's like your own private pool in the middle of the jungle. The water is so cold! Next stop is in Paradise Island. This island is smaller but with clear blue waters. Our guide and boatman prepared a delicious lunch for us here. We had the whole island to ourselves and with a cute dog! Watch the full video to find out which best spots you should not miss when in Port Barton!

Best Island Hopping Tour Port Barton
Here's another video from my 2-week #DoThePhilippines adventure with @DYTravel! This time, island hopping to five different islands in Port Barton, Palawan.
Aside from visiting different uninhabited islands, it was so nice to see a turtle while snorkeling! White sand beaches, amazing sunsets, grilled seafood, clear waters.. what more could you ask for?

Island Hopping in Port Barton, Palawan, Philippines ????????
Welcome to Port Barton!
This town in Palawan, Philippines is about 3 hours away from El Nido and is a much quieter and more relaxed place with fewer tourists. The island hopping boat tours are incredible and a bit more chilled since you spend less time actually driving on a boat and more time at each spot because the locations are closer together compared to El Nido.

PHILIPPINES travel series - Port Barton v El Nido | HONEST opinion
PHILIPPINES travel series - Port Barton v El Nido | HONEST opinion
Many travellers will come to Palawan in the Philippines and may only go to El Nido - the famous spot for island hopping.
We however, spent 5 days in El Nido and 4 days in Port Barton so we got a good taste and feel for both places.
In reality, opinion is subjective and very much dependant upon what your expectations and wants are to begin with. If you’re looking for somewhere busier with plenty of nightlife and lots of hostels where you can meet people then El Nido may be the place for you. If you want to chill and take a few days to just relax on the beach then don’t miss Port Barton.
If you have the time, definitely do both yourself but I would advise being aware that El Nido is very busy, cramped and our experience was that the locals there were not as friendly as other parts of the Philippines. That being said, the scenery there is outrageous!

We are Lucia and Wayne. In October 2017, we quit our jobs in the UK so that we could travel the world and lead a life full of excitement and happiness.
We asked ourselves one question - What is the most amazing thing that we have done this year?”. It was difficult to answer, not because we had done lots, but because like many, we were leading a 9-5 lifestyle and living for the weekends.
With that, the decision to pack our bags was a very easy one and so, off we went to our first stop - India. Every single day since we left has been truly amazing - experiencing different cultures, making new friends from all over the world and seeing the most beautiful sights imaginable.
Our journeys were inspired by watching others on YouTube and so, we are extremely passionate about sharing ours with you. Subscribe here to keep up with our adventure ????

I FOUND A HIDDEN PARADISE! [Port Barton, Philippines Vlog]
FREE Airbnb CREDIT:
I think I found a hidden paradise in the Philippines. Many islands are getting very busy and crowded with tourists, like Puerto Princesa, El Nido. Boracay etc.
But there are almost NO TOURISTS in beautiful Port Barton, and if you go to beaches like Coconut Beach or the islands in Port Barton Bay, you can have the beach ALL TO YOURSELF!
Here's my Philippines travel vlog from my 2 days exploring Port Barton, including a day island hopping to see Starfish Island, Maxima Island and German Island where you can see turtles and starfish!! The snorkelling was really amazing here. LOVE this country!

A Philippines travel video brought to you from Port Barton Palawan. This was my fourth island hopping tour in the Philippines, you can check out my previous vlogs to see the first three island hopping tours from Coron and El Nido, also in the Palawan area.

Deserted island
Port Barton in the Philippines is a small village half way between El Nido and Puerto Princesa. It's a sleepy little fishing village slowly waking up to tourism and doesn't have 24/7 electricity.

Port Barton Vlog 2: Literally Walking Between 2 Islands!
In my previous Port Barton video, we went snorkeling and checked out a few islands, even saw a turtle. If you haven't seen that video, here's the link -
In this video, I joined a different island hopping tour. This is classified as Tour B although some islands are different from the posted ones as the tour operators aren't that strict yet, they accommodate if their passengers request a different island. I believe that is still doable for now while the island isn't as touristy as El Nido YET.
Twin Islands
My favorite Port Barton islands are in this video. These are the twin islands - Maxima and Exotic islands. They are twins because they are so near each other, the waters are shallow that you can literally walk between islands. There are resident dogs on these islands and they would usually cross one island to another safely!
We had our lunch in one of the islands and I explored the other island after lunch. The other island has a lot of sharp rocks and corals. It would be better if you bring your flip flops or aqua shoes with you. I left mine on the boat and was too far and time consuming to get so I went on barefoot. I was fine and just had to be careful not to step on anything too sharp.
The view on the other side was worth the painful rocky road! The waves were too strong on this side though so I mostly swam on the other twin island.
Starfish Island
This isn't really an island but more a sandbar, so it can disappear on high tide. Not a good place to get stuck in! There are star fish around the area, hence the name. We also went to an island with mangroves but I didn't have a footage in there.
Snorkeling
Island hoppings aren't complete without snorkeling. There were just a few fish and just small ones but the corals were beautiful!
That was a pretty tiring but fun trip so I decided not to take another island hopping anymore and just roam around town the following day which I will show in my next video. Stay tuned!
