Our visit Lviv travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide (both local and international), top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting neighborhoods, churches, cathedrals, the city centre and museums. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical Lviv tourism brochure, Lviv itinerary or Lviv, Ukraine city tour.
20 Things to do in Lviv, Ukraine Travel Guide Video Script:
Today’s video is all about our visit to Lviv. Having come straight from Kiev, Lviv offered a real change of scenery. The city was much smaller, more walkable, and it looked distinctly Central European. In some ways, it reminded us of a smaller version of Krakow or Prague, though a little rough around the edges. But enough about first impressions; let us actually show you around. In this video we’re going to take you on a grand tour of the city and highlight 20 things to do in Lviv on your next visit, so let’s get started.
Like in Kiev, we quickly discovered that Lviv is a city of churches, so our next stop was the Church of the Holy Communion. After our sushi lunch, we visited the Bernardine Church in the south end of the Old Town; followed by the Latin Cathedral, which sits in the southwest corner of Market Square; and finally the Jesuit Church, where we stumbled upon yet another wedding!
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Lviv, Ukraine. We found this to be a charming city with a completely different look and feel from Kiev, so we’re glad we added this stop to our itinerary. If you’re short on time, this is a great destination for a weekend escape.
If you have any other suggestions of cool things to do around Lviv, feel free to share those with fellow travellers in the comments below. Wishing you happy travels!

Best things to see in LVIV | 15 MUST DO THINGS | Ukraine | Travel Guide
What are the best things to see in Lviv?
In this travel guide we will show you over 15 MUST DO things to see and do, in and around the old town. Explore the best of Lviv, with our top tips on what to see and where to eat and drink.
During our Ukraine Series, we spend an enjoyable weekend in Lviv.
Lviv is becoming a popular stop on any Eastern European trip. It's cheap, easy to get around and there is so much to experience. We say experience because almost every coffee shop, bar or restaurant offers more than just a drink or food. Themed, fun and very photogenic, you will end up spending much more time than you expected.
The historic old town is very comfortable to walk, with many markets, churches and restaurants serving traditional Ukrainian food and also catering for international tastes.
Our weekend was simply not enough time to see all Lviv has to offer so we are already planning to go back for a few more days to take in what me missed.

STORYLINE:
With an early strike, a goal-saving scramble, and help from defender Gianluca Zambrotta, Italy held off Ukraine 3-0 on Friday, setting up a semifinal match against host Germany on Tuesday in Dortmund.
Fans without match tickets gathered in front of a big screen in Dortmund, to watch a game which Italy started as favourites against a Ukrainian team which reached the quarter finals for the first time.
One minute after Zambrotta kicked a ball off his own goal line to quash Ukraine's last hope of an upset, Toni scored his first World Cup goal in the 59th minute with a header and added a second when he slid in Zambrotta's goalmouth pass in the 69th.
Zambrotta flew home early in the week to visit former Juventus teammate Gianluca Pessotto, who is fighting for his life after falling from a window at the Italian club team's headquarters in Turin.
The defender ran down the right in the sixth minute, set up a one-two with playmaker Francesco Totti and finished it off with a searing 20-meter (yard) left foot drive that goalkeeper Oleksandr Shovkosvskyi couldn't stop.
Only Zambrotta's second goal in 56 games for Italy, it put the Azzurri in the situation they have perfected over decades of World Cup success: defending a slender lead.
After a few narrow escapes, Toni made sure Italy did not have to worry until the final whistle.
And if they have a reputation for unattractive play to achieve that goal, it was never on show Friday. Led by Totti, the Azzurri sparkled with little backheels and clean, crisp passing combinations that Ukraine could never match.
After seven seasons in Serie A, Ukraine striker Andriy Shevchenko no longer held any secrets for Italy's expert defense and could not give his
president Victor Yushchenko any reason to cheer in the stands.
Afterward, the Chelsea-bound player went up to the Italian fans, applauded them and bowed in respect.
In the end, Ukraine, the surprise team to make the quarterfinals in its maiden World Cup run, was finally exposed as a team which had too little to offer beyond a robust defence.

Our New Workaway in Ukraine!
Join me for a narrated tour in Chernivtsi Ukraine. It shows my first morning’s walk from our apartment to the lovely and interesting boulevard where we’ll report most days for the next several weeks. See the lush interior of a decadent historic town favorite called the Grand Cafè. Poke around the grocery store with me and just generally catch the local vibe. As Americans we were chosen to be native speakers helping students here at the Americana English Language School have the opportunity to practice and gain confidence using a variety of games and interactive approaches. In just a few days we’ve fallen quite in love with this very livable city which captures the imagination by its rich architecture and lovely main pedestrian boulevard.

Chinese narrow gauge - Jiangnan Onoda 900mm limestone railway
The Jiangnan Onoda is one of three narrow gauge line's local to Nanjing. It has two unique features for narrow gauge railways in China, being 900mm gauge and also being the only narrow gauge line to cross another independent narrow gauge line, being the 762mm gauge railway of the competing Anhui Conch Cement company. The Jiangnan uses both diesel and electric locomotives to move limestone from the mines at Cishan and Hongmei. I had only a day to visit the line, this is part one of two.

Russia: Nord ship sailors return to Crimea

Seven crew members of the Nord ship fishing vessel crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border at the Armyansk checkpoint, in the north of the Crimean peninsula, on Tuesday.
On their return, the sailors were welcomed by Russia's Commissioner for Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova and the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov.
They were exchanged for seven Ukrainian sailors from the ships YaMK-0041 and YaOD-2015.
One of the Nord ship sailors, Yury Saveliev, was carrying a Russian flag which, according to him, was taken from the vessel while the crew was leaving.
“This flag was removed from the yard on April 6. We carried it through half of Ukraine. It was in the Security Service of Ukraine, in the court, we kept it, we did not trample on our home country and our flag,” he said.
On March 25, the Nord fishing vessel, as well as its crew of 10 sailors, was detained by the Ukrainian border guard service in the Azov Sea as it “caused harm” to Ukraine's interests and “violated the rules” of visiting Crimea.
The vessel’s captain Vladimir Gorbenko still remains in Ukraine and as he faces criminal charges.

Moscow streets
The more I walk around the city, the more I want to see any interesting things.
Today I want to share my summer catch of different buildings and streets.
Suddenly I came across a graffiti on Rozhdestvenka. The girl throws a bottle with a message into the water. But I and the guys who walked by decided that it's just about the girl, vishishko and the message to the former after viniška, sorry))
Just all the beauty that I stumble upon, raving the streets and admiring. And I'm capturing.
The most beautiful light at sunset.
It's a little strange for me to see glossy tiles on buildings. I just can not understand whether I like it or not. As if the bathroom inside out or something ..
Often look up, there are so much more stunningly beautiful!
I like that. And the flashlights on the building and above the road and the microphone are stylized. Some cozy place came out in my opinion.
Only these plates overlapping half of the pedestrian road, strange Pts. Well, why are they here?
It's good that now there are so many pedestrian streets in the center! Yes, a lot of things are under repair again. But it is forgotten quickly, and beauty remains. Well .. unless they decide to repair this repair in a year
Openwork shabby. It is a pity that such buildings are destroyed .. than 40 times the curbs shift, it would be better to keep the history.
Finally, finally, I fulfilled my little dream. I have never seen this building!
I heard a lot about him, but somehow I did not understand where he was, I forgot about him, something else.
Well and here. It's a pity, of course, impossible that he is behind some arch, in some dark courtyard, everything is narrow and ridiculous, and in the middle of all this there is a handsome man.
Savvinsky farmstead. How good that it was not broken, but moved inside, into the yard, with the expansion of Tverskaya.
But it would be even better if the old city in general was preserved intact.
I think I'll take a walk there again, shoot and admire it at a brighter time of the day and go all round. Plastic windows in it, of course, horror of horror .. But the state of his more less. Does not crumble.
