Travelers flying into Tokyo for the first time, have an option to fly into Narita or Haneda Airport.
Narita is the larger of the 2 airports and is generally known to have more international flights while Haneda has more domestic flights. Both have lots of dining and shopping areas, but since Haneda is newly ren, I have to give Haneda the overall edge when it comes to attractions.
The biggest differentiator between both airports is the distance to Tokyo. Narita is about 1 hr away by express train, while Haneda is about 15-30 min train ride away. So it’s a little cheaper transportation-wise from Haneda.

Tokyo Tower - Tokyo - Letters from Japan
Tokyo Tower is located in Minato, Tokyo. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 to serve as a communications tower. The tower stands at 333 meters tall, which is about eleven hundred feet and is the second tallest structure in Tokyo (after the Tokyo Skytree).
Since it’s opening in 1958, over 150 million people have visited this landmark. Tourism, in fact, is it’s main sourcees of revenue. As with nearly every tower in Japan, Tokyo Tower is painted with the same orange and white color scheme — this to comply with aviation safety regulations. Tokyo Tower is re-painted every five years and can take up to a full year to complete.
There are two observations decks. The main deck, which is the lowest, is at 150 meters from the base. This deck has two floors or levels, each offering 360-degree views of Tokyo. You’ll come out on the second, or top floor when you arrive and step off the elevator.
There’s a gift shop here, and a tour guide robot named, Tawabo, who provides information about the tower in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. The Tower also has its own shrine.
The lower level has a cafe, and you can take a selfie on the glass see-through floor. For an extra fee, you can ride to the upper, secondary deck. This one is about 250 meters up.
So how do you get there:
If you take the city subway, there are three stations that are within about 5 or 10 minutes walking distance. The Kamiyacho station, the Onarimon Station, the Akabanebashi Station, A little further out is the Hamamatsucho Station. Now, this one is on the JR Train.

Did you know that there are still ninja here in Japan?
In Tokyo, there is a ninja group called Musashi clan which has a long history and served the Tokugawa shogunate for 265 years during the Edo period, and is still continuing training.
The dojo where the Musashi clan teaches ninjutsu (the art of ninja) is close to the Tokyo Tower. Wear a ninja outfit at the dojo and experience shuriken (throwing star) and blow arrow techniques together with real ninja.

World’s largest Naruto and Boruto Theme Park in Japan
Japan Naruto Theme Park and Boruto Theme Park located in Nijigen no Mori Awajishima. This is first look at currently the World's largest Naruto amusement park and Boruto amusement park located in Shinobi Zato also known as ninja village area of the National Park of Awajishima. The ninja village hosts 2 main mission areas guided by maki-mono (scrolls) chi-no-maki (earth scroll) and ten-no-maki (heaven scroll). This anime theme park will take you on a puzzle solving adventures. This is perfect play ground for all Naruto manga and anime lovers alike.
Also, this anime theme park has recreated an outdoor version of Naruto's favorite ramen shop, Ichiraku ramen shop where you can get Hakata style ramen. Ramen ichiraku's Naruto Ramen was quite delicious and would love to have another bowl at anytime. The shop also serves Naruto themed food.
Nijigen no mori where the Naruto theme park is located, is originally a giant national park so it’s actually a perfect spot to just hang out, relax and have a picnic.
In fact, Naruto theme park video is the first part of a 2 part series for the Awajishima area so if you are deciding to visit this area, then definitely stick around for the 2nd part of this video series.

How to get there from Tokyo Shinagawa Station:
① Shinkansen until Shin-Kobe → Bus until the Awaji Interchange stop → Shuttle bus to Nijigen no Mori
② Shinkansen until Shin-Osaka → Train until Akashi Station → 10 mins walk until Akashi Ko (Port) → Ferris until Iwaya Ko → Shuttle bus until Nijigen no Mori

Ever wonder what to do in the Yokohama area?
Today we take you Queens Square which is connected to Minato Marai station to look around and visit a great little Indian restaurant. We walk around Cosmo World and end up in World Porters mall.
The 2nd and 3rd floors are normal shopping but on the 1st floor is where is gets exciting.
Hawaiian town - 14 stores and several restaurants make up this area giving you a taste of Hawaii.
The only Leonards bakery franchised store is here since opening up in 2008 and today we go and try some amazing portuguese donuts the Malasada.

Spending a day and night in Yokohama, Japan!
Even though I live in Tokyo, I have never visited Yokohama! I decided to spend a day and night in Yokohama, Japan and see and do the tourist attractions. This was my first time seeing the Yokohama Cosmo Clock as well as the Yokohama China Town which isn’t just the biggest Chinatown in Japan but also actually the biggest Chinatown in Asia! Even though Yokohama is very close to Tokyo, it has a very different atmosphere! We also went to see the Landmark Tower with Japans fastest elevator! On clear days you can see Mount Fuji from the top of the tower. We stayed in Hotel Vista Premio Yokohama Minato-Mirai. From the rooms you have a beautiful view of Cosmo Clock and the Yokohama Harbour!
Japan is the most exciting and culturally different place I have ever been to. It has so much to offer! I hope you can follow my journey and we can explore this incredible place together!
