Kharagpur ke New Kholee mein sthit shree Jagannaath Mandir mein bhagavaan shree jagannaath, devee subhadra aur balaraamajee ke teen alag-alag rathon nikale gaye. 4 july, dophar 3 bje rath ko mandir se nimapura bajarang chauk par le jaaya gaya. isake baad, wapas ishi maarg se rath ko shree jagannaath mandir le aaya gaya. raste me bahut se sradhalu ne maarg mein rathayaatra dekhee aur unakee pooja kee. rath mein baithe pujaariyon ne logon mein prasaad vitarit kiya. is avasar par, vibhinn gair-sarakaaree sangathanon ne logon ke beech peyajal, sharabat aur chaay ka vitaran kiya. rathayaatra ke avasar par raavan maidaan mein shree jagannaath mandir samiti kee or se ek mele ka aayojan kiya gaya hai.

►রথযাত্রা বা রথদ্বিতীয়া একটি আষাঢ় মাসে আয়োজিত অন্যতম প্রধান হিন্দু উৎসব । ভারতীয় রাজ্য উড়িশ্যা এবং পশ্চিমবঙ্গে বিশেষ উৎসাহ উদ্দীপনার মধ্য দিয়ে রথযাত্রা পালিত হয় । দীর্ঘ বিচ্ছেদেও পর কৃষ্ণের বৃন্দাবন প্রত্যাবর্তনের স্মরণে এই উৎসব আয়োজিত হয়ে থাকে । ভারতের সর্বাধিক প্রসিদ্ধ রথযাত্রা উড়িশ্যার পুরী শহরের জগন্নাথ মন্দিরের রথযাত্রা । রথযাত্রা উপলক্ষে বিভিন্ন স্থানে মেলার আয়োজন করা হয় । পশ্চিমবঙ্গে রথযাত্রার সময় যাত্রাপালা মঞ্চস্থের রীতি বেশ জনপ্রিয় ।

Do you know that there is a Hanuman temple on the top of the Jagannath temple. At the time of flag changing ritual perform every day changers used to lit a lamp in respect of the Hanumanji.

The temple has four different gates to enter and exit with different names.
1. Singha Dwar means Lion door.
2. Ashwa Dwar means Horse door.
3. Byaghra Dwar means Tiger door.
4. Hasthi Dwar means Elephant door.

Jagannath Rath Yatra is one of the biggest and widely-celebrated festivals of India wherein millions of devotees arrive at the Jagannath Mandir in Kharagpur, WB to participate in the yatra processions and seek blessings of Lord Jagannath. The festival is celebrated in Ashadh Sud 2, an auspicious day which is also known as Ashad Shukla Dwitiya, and it generally falls in early July according to the Hindu Lunar Calendar.
