Jagannathi Temple is situated at Bhekhli. The temple offers panoramic view of beautiful Kullu valley and River Beas.
Bekhli Temple or the Jagannathi Devi Temple is one of the famous temples of Kullu region. This temple is located at a height of 1800 m from the sea level. As per archeological experts, this temple is almost 1500 years old. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhuvaneshwari who is the fifth aspect of Goddess Shakti. Local people visit this temple regularly to take blessings of Bhuvaneshwari Devi. The temple houses beautiful carvings of different avatars of goddess Durga.
According to the Legend, one day a Shepherd boy accidentally noticed that two girls are dancing on his flute tune which was really magical. He followed them and managed to catch one of them. The girl whom the boy caught was none other than Bhuvaneshwari Devi. The goddess revealed her identity and agreed to settle in the Bekhli village. The idols present in the temple give a resemblance of Rajasthani influences on Gaddi tribal. The deity in this temple is gorgeously decorated.

Kullu Tragedy Bodies Of 5 Students Flown Back Home
About 20 students of the group also returned to Hyderabad on the same plane.
Civil aviation minister Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju arrived in Kullu on Monday on an Air India plane along with some family members of the missing students.
The families accompanying the Union minister stayed back in the hope that the bodies of their kin may be recovered on Tuesday when the search operation resumes.

Himachal Pradesh police recover Lord Raghunath idols stolen from Kullu temple
The Himachal Pradesh police on Friday recovered the 17th century priceless idol of Raghunath along with four other idols that were stolen from a temple in Kullu on December 8 last year.
The ‘ashtadhatu’ Raghunath idol was found at Bajaura on the outskirts of Kullu along the Mandi-Kullu national highway. “It was hidden under a pile of rocks, while the idols of Ganesha, Hanuman, Salig Ram and Narsingh were found near Vipasha market in Kullu,” said director general of police Sanjay Kumar.
About 10 kg of silver ornaments and 1 of kg gold ornaments were also found missing.
The police had set up a special investigating team headed by additional DGP (law and order) Sanjay Kundu to track the stolen idols. The team included Kullu superintendents of police Surinder Verma and Abhishek Dhullar.
The police had rounded up more than 500 people suspected of being involved in the theft. The police team also scrolled through more than 1,000 mobile numbers that were active on the night of the theft.
