Jalan Alor Food Street Walking Tour Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Jalan Alor once known as the red light district of KL has transformed over the years into one of the most famous roads with a bustling night market filled with hawker stalls and seafood restaurants. It is located just on block from Jalan Bukit Bintang and a short walk away from the Bukit Bintang monorail station. It is a favourite early or late night dining spot in the Golden Triangle area. There are air-conditioned seafood restaurants which provide for a decent and inexpensive meal but the area is more frequented for their hawker food.
Don't worry about not speaking Malay or Mandarin as most hawker stalls have picture menus, making ordering simple. We suggest you explore the whole street and then grab a table and order your dishes from the diverse range of hawkers. Recommended are the the Grilled chicken wings from Restoran Wong Ah Wah:
smoky-flavoured chicken satay from Terminal Sate Zul, Oyster caked and Char Kway Teow from Restoran Meng Kee Grill Fish. Pin Chen for their Hainanese Chicken Rice, Uncle Lim for Pan Mee, Alor Corner for Curry Mee, and Coconut Ice Cream at Sengkaya.

I arrived in Malaysia and went straight for the food. Jalan Alor is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, and is full of hawker stalls that sell a variety of culinary delights from dumplings to many types of durian!
I went with a couple of local friends and they showed me some of the most famous stalls, as well as some must-get street foods when in Malaysia.

Come join us for a Malaysian Street Food Tour as we visit the bustling hive of activity known as the Jalan Alor street night market in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Malaysian street food is some of the best you'll find anywhere in Southeast Asia. One of the reasons that makes the street food in Kuala Lumpur so good is the diversity in terms of foods you can sample. With local Malay, Chinese, Indian, Thai and other delights on offer you have an endless supply of food items to choose from. The following is a list of everything we ended up sampling.

Good evening good evening! We are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And we're hungry it is at night so that means we're going out for street food. And where are we?
So today we're checking out Jalan Alor. Or the Alor Street Night Market. Yep.
There is so much street food happening right now and they have like these plastic tables set up on the road. And it is just crazy. It is so busy and it smells amazing. It does. Let's go find some food.
Small size. Yeah yeah yeah. Okay.
Alright, so we are here at the market and Sam has decided to start with something rather unusual. We are having some fruit.
We're not messing around. We're having durian and this is like the king of fruits here in Malaysia and other nearby countries like Singapore. In fact, this fruit is so smelly that you often see it banned in certain parts. Yeah on the subway and in hotels. No durians and stuff like that.
No durian allowed.
But I love this. I absolutely love it. I'm going to open it up. I don't.
Oh my gosh it smells so good.
We are on the hunt for food. Let's see what we can find next. I'm kind of craving a smoothie. Some kind of fruit juice because it is really hot.
I am seeing a lot of Thai food restaurants. Isn't that a little surprising?
Yeah, I'm a little surprised by that but Thai food is good. Yeah, I guess they are neighbors.
So unlike some of the street markets that we've been visiting recently in places like South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand this isn't really a walk and eat market. Like you can do that there is a few stands where you can grab some food quickly and go.
But they mostly have little restaurants outside on the street where you just sit down and you grab a meal. So that is what we're doing right now. We're just going to relax, Sam is going to enjoy a beer and we've ordered a few different satays so we're going to show you that.
I think ice cream just tastes so much better in Southeast Asia because you're just so hot and sweaty. Because you're drenched.
It is just so refreshing. I know. It is such a nice way to cool down. I'm loving this. It is a great way to finish off seriously. Yeah.
Alright, so that mochi ice cream was a real hit. That was awesome. That was a great way to end things off.
What a nice surprise. So it came to 12 Ringgit which is just like 2 something dollars.
So again, cheap. Great way to finish off.

Oh boy boy we are leaving very well fed.
I have to say. Oh my gosh.
That was a lot more food than I had bargained for but everything was so tasty I just couldn't control myself.
Yeah. So that was a lot of fun. Like we've never really filmed street food before in Malaysia. We didn't know this market existed in Kuala Lumpur so it was such a pleasant surprise. Yeah. And the food here is great. You get some really awesome deals. So I'd highly recommend it. Highly recommend it and it has got such a lively vibe. What is also nice is that you can sit down and chill out and just kind of watch everything unfold. Great place to come.

Hosting a lot of hawker stalls and seafood restaurants, Jalan Alor is one of the most famous roads in Kuala Lumpur for food. Located just behind Jalan Bukit Bintang and a short walk away from Changkat Bukit Bintang, it is a favourite after-clubbing dining spot in the Golden Triangle area. Though the seafood at the air-conditioned restaurants is really good and inexpensive, we highly recommend the hawker food. KL being an immigrant city, the variety of food available is amazing and in Jalan Alor the barbecued meats, noodles and desserts are some of the best (and cheapest) in the city. Most of these dishes cannot be found in fashion-conscious restaurants – and even if they are, they are rarely as tasty, so hawker stalls are a favourite on the city’s foodie scene. Jalan Alor is a street food night market you have to visit in Kuala Lumpur! It's in the Bukit Bintang area, which is known for it's nightlife and bars - a cool spot to hang out. The food on offer is from all different cultures, but obviously being in the heart of KL means there's a lot of great Malaysian food to try.
Honestly, everything we ate was incredible! We wanted to eat more food but couldnt fit it in, so this goes down as the best street food we've eaten at any night markets.

terima kasih telah berkunjung ke channel Bayu Widura, kita masih meng eksplore Malaysia, ini adalah episode terakhir perjalanan saya dengan teman teman dari JICT.
kami menginap di Travelodge Hotel di jalan Alor, Jalan-jalan ke Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, rasanya kurang nikmat tanpa berkunjung ke Jalan Alor. Apa sih yang istimewa di Jalan Alor? Ya, disinilah pusat wisata kuliner jalanan alias street food yang paling meriah dan happening di seantero KL. Sebenarnya kuliner jalanan di sini sedikit berbeda dari kebanyakan kuliner jalanan lainnya karena sebenarnya makanan yang dijajakan mayoritas berasal dari restoran permanen di pinggir jalan, bukan kaki lima seperti biasanya. Namun, kursi dan mejanya digelar hingga memenuhi separuh badan jalan sehingga terkesan sangat ramai. Ditambah lagi lampion-lampion yang digantung sepanjang jalan menambah semarak suasana yang sudah ramai.
Suasana Jalan Alor akan mulai semarak menjelang malam. Jalan ini sebenarnya hanyalah sebuah jalan aspal lurus biasa dengan restoran-restoran di sepanjang jalan. Yang membuat berbeda adalah semua restoran memasang kursi dan meja makan hingga jalan nyaris tertutup. Namun demikian, mobil masih bisa lewat meski dengan perlahan-lahan. Tak cukup sampai di situ, lampion-lampion merah khas tradisi Cina dan lampu-lampu jalan bergelantungan sepanjang jalan, membuat suasana begitu meriah.
Menara Petronas atau Menara Kembar Petronas (bahasa Melayu: 'Menara Berkembar Petronas') di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia adalah sepasang menara kembar yang pernah menjadi bangunan tertinggi di dunia pada tahun 1998—2004, sebelum dilampaui oleh Burj Khalifa dan Taipei 101. Namun, kedua menara ini masih merupakan pencakar langit kembar tertinggi di dunia pada abad ke-20.
