Hawaii Big Island part 1
Hawaii Big Island part 1
In late January, I flew to Hawaii to embark on a week long holiday with my closest friends from university. A lot of us flew in from Philippines, California, Texas and New Zealand. Hawaii is such a wonderful place to visit. A week was short but we packed it with a lot of hiking, beaching and trying out the local culture. In this video, you'll see our adventures from Hapuna beach, Mauna Kea summit, Volcanoes National Park, Kilauea Iki Crater, and lava flow from the Kilauea volcano. Check out my previous Hawaii video where we explored the island of Oahu. Next video will be more of the Big Island where we explored beautiful secluded beaches. Oh and btw, all these were filmed on an iPhone 6. :)

3 months in paradise - HAWAII
This 3 months in Hawaii were the most amazing and crazy things I've done in my life.
Mountains, rainbows, waterfalls, sunset... this place looks like a real dream. Peaceful and lovely islands where serenity and love are the most precious values and lead this harmonious world.
A little paradise on earth.
Aloha.
Kamokuna Lava Flow Reaches the Pacific
For the first time in three years the lava flows from Hawaii's Kilauea volcano are pouring into the Pacific. The nine mile round trip journey is somewhat easier than in the past thanks to the leveled gravel Chain of Craters road the County of Hawaii built as an evacuation route for the lower Puna region. This emergency route is now severed by the widening flow of lava.
New land forms as the seawater cools the 2000 degree lava into brittle silica fragments that are soon churned into new black sand. A tremor underground warned our group of photographers to back away from the unstable edge of the cliff.
Reporter / Photographer: Jeff Rogers, GNI International
The USGS announcement states:
The 61G lava flow extending southeast of Puʻu ʻŌʻō towards the coastal plain on Kīlauea's south flank remains active, and its ocean entry in the Kamokuna area continues. It is currently at least 20 m (66 ft) wide where it spills over the sea cliff, with minor expansion of the flow margins compared to the previous day. Another narrow lobe of the flow has advanced along the west margin of the main flow. Areas of incandescence remain visible in...the active lava flow field, marking lava tube skylights and areas of active lava on the pali [steep hill] and along the flow as it extends towards the coast.
As a strong caution to visitors viewing the new ocean entry (location where lava meets the sea) for Flow 61G, there are additional significant hazards besides walking on uneven surfaces and around unstable, extremely steep sea cliffs. Venturing too close to an ocean entry exposes you to flying debris created by the explosive interaction between lava and water. Also, the new land created is unstable because it is built on unconsolidated lava fragments and sand. This loose material can easily be eroded away by surf causing the new land to become unsupported and slide into the sea. Finally, the interaction of lava with the ocean creates an acidic plume laden with fine volcanic particles that can irritate the skin, eyes, and lungs.

When global warming triggers the onset of a new Ice Age, tornadoes flatten Los Angeles, a tidal wave engulfs New York City and the entire Northern Hemisphere begins to freeze solid. As full-scale, massive evacuations to the south begin, a world-renowned climatologist (Quaid) who predicted the storm just a few days prior, must now risk his life to rescue his teenage son (Gyllenhaal) who is stranded in frozen, desolate Manhattan.

This film series explores many aspects of our society. To rethink what is possible in our world, we need to consider what kind of world we want to live in. Although we refer to it as a civilization, it is anything but civilized. Visions of global unity & fellowship have long inspired humanity, yet the social arrangements up to the present have largely failed to produce a peaceful and productive world. While we appear to be technically advanced, our values and behaviors are not. The possibility of an optimistic future is in stark contrast to our current social, economic, and environmental dilemmas. The Choice Is Ours includes interviews with notable scientists, media professionals, authors, and other thinkers exploring the difficulties we face.
Part I provides an introduction and overview of cultural & environmental conditions that are untenable for a sustainable world civilization. It explores the determinants of behavior to dispel the myth of “human nature” while demonstrating how the environment shapes behavior. The science of behavior is an important - yet largely missing - ingredient in our culture.
Part II questions the values, behaviors, and consequences of our social structures, and illustrates how our global monetary system is obsolete and increasingly insufficient to meet the needs of most people. Critical consideration of the banking, media, and criminal justice systems reveals these institutions for what they really are: tools of social control managed by the established political and economic elite. If we stay the present course, the familiar cycles of crime, economic booms & busts, war, and further environmental destruction are inevitable.
Part III explains the methods and potential of science. It proposes solutions that we can apply at present to eliminate the use of non-renewable sources of energy. It depicts the vision of The Venus Project to build an entirely new world from the ground up, a “redesign of the culture,” where all enjoy a high standard of living, free of servitude and debt, while also protecting the environment.
Part IV explains how it is not just architecture and a social structure that is in desperate need of change, but our values which have been handed down from centuries ago. They too need to be updated to our technological age, which has the potential to eliminate our scarcity-driven societies of today. Our problems are mostly of our own making, but we can still turn things around before the point of no return. It’s not too late for an optimistic outlook on the fantastic possibilities that lie before us.

*special thanks also to Alexander Obraz ...Obraz.io who created the many 2d motion depictions (plus the sound fx!) of concepts such as the hamburgers and fried chicken segment and many others which are Alexander's inimitable work style and attention to details where we needed very specific illustrations of key points.
The Venus Project proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be if we apply what we already know in order to achieve a sustainable new world civilization. It calls for a straightforward redesign of our culture in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt, and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable but as totally unacceptable. Anything less will result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in today's world.

How to Deliver a Baby: Police Officer Training Film (Video of Live Birth)
In human reproduction, a live birth occurs when a fetus, whatever its gestational age, exits the maternal body and subsequently shows any sign of life, such as voluntary movement, heartbeat, or pulsation of the umbilical cord, for however brief a time and regardless of whether the umbilical cord or placenta are intact.
This definition of the term live birth was created by the World Health Organization in 1950 and is chiefly used for public health and statistical purposes. Whether the birth is vaginal or by Caesarean section, and whether the neonate is ultimately viable, is not relevant to this statistical definition. However, the term live birth was in common use long before 1950.
In the United States, the term born alive is defined by federal statute.
Childbirth, labour, delivery, birth, partus, or parturition is the culmination of a human pregnancy or gestation period with the expulsion of one or more newborn infants from a woman's uterus. The process of normal human childbirth is categorized in three stages of labour: the shortening and dilation of the cervix, descent and birth of the infant, and birth of the placenta.[1] In many cases, with increasing frequency, childbirth is achieved through caesarean section, the removal of the neonate through a surgical incision in the abdomen, rather than through vaginal birth.[2] In the U.S. and Canada it represents nearly 1 in 3 (31.8%) of all childbirths.[3] More than 22% of women undergo induction of labour and childbirth in the United States, doubling the rate in 2006 from 1990.[4] Medical professional policy makers find that induced births and elective cesarean can be harmful to the fetus and neonate as well as harmful or without benefit to the mother, and have established strict guidelines for non-medically indicated induced births and elective cesarean before 39 weeks.[5] There are, however a number of health conditions that may warrant inducing labour, some examples of when labour induction may be indicated include gestational or chronic hypertension, preeclampsia, eclampsia, diabetes, premature rupture of membranes, severe fetal growth restriction, and post-term pregnancy. Cesarean section too may be of benefit to both the mother and baby for certain indications including maternal HIV/AIDS, Foetal abnormality, breech position, foetal distress, multiple gestations, and maternal medical conditions which would be worsened by labour or vaginal birth.
Childbirth routinely occurs in hospitals in much of Western society. Before the 20th century and in some countries to the present day it has more typically occurred at home.[66]
In Western and other cultures, age is reckoned from the date of birth, and sometimes the birthday is celebrated annually. East Asian age reckoning starts newborns at 1, incrementing each Lunar New Year.
Some families view the placenta as a special part of birth, since it has been the child's life support for so many months. The placenta may be eaten by the newborn's family, ceremonially or otherwise (for nutrition; the great majority of animals in fact do this naturally).[67] Most recently there is a category of birth professionals available who will encapsulate placenta for use as placenta medicine by postpartum mothers.
The exact location in which childbirth takes place is an important factor in determining nationality, in particular for birth aboard aircraft and ships.

In Columbia Pictures' family adventure-comedy RV an overworked executive, Bob Munro (Robin Williams), persuades his wife and children to give up their Hawaiian vacation for some 'family bonding' on a cross-country RV trip. But it's all a ruse. Bob has other, more career-oriented reasons on his mind than sending quality time with his family in the Rocky Mountains. Through a series if misadventures, including constant run-ins with an overly friendly troupe of full-time RV'ers, Bob inadvertently learns the true meaning of family MPAA Rating: PG ©2006 IMF Internationale Medien und Film GmbH & Co. 3 Produktions KG.
