Jenischpark in Hamburg
Jenisch Park/House -Hamburg
Jenisch House is located in Jenisch Park, Hamburg's oldest landscaped park and a protected area of 43 ha (110 acres).[2] The park was landscaped by Caspar Voght as a model farm and arboretum about 1800.[3] It is located in the former independent locality of Klein Flottbek, now part of the Othmarschen quarter of Hamburg with a view toward the Elbe river, often described as magnificent.[2] In 1828 Jenisch bought the farm and gardens from Voght and redesigned the area with the construction of his house.[4] Jenisch Park participated in the Tag des offenen Denkmals (Day of the Open Heritage Site), a national annual event of the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz, opening cultural heritage sites to the public, in 2007 and 2008

16 TOP RATED - Best Tourist Attractions in Hamburg Germany
1. Miniatur Wunderland - There are so many miniatures, all very detailed and many special effects.
2. The Port of Hamburg: The Gateway to Germany
3. Kunsthalle Hamburg - Really impressive building on the outside. Both old masters and modern art here.
4. Hamburg Rathaus (City Hall) - Architecturally, what an amazing building! It's amazing to look at the interior design of the Rathaus and it's depiction of the historical times of the Hanseatic city.
5. St. Michael's Church - Beautiful views of Hamburg from the tower. 453 steps to get to the top. Each of them worth it to enjoy a nice view over the port of Hamburg and the city. If you don't like the stairs you can take the lift, but you won't see the inside of the tower and the big clockwork.
6. Ohlsdorf Cemetery - Wow, what a huge graveyard. You can drive thru it. Even a busline is driving around.
7. Great Lakes: Inner and Outer Alster - A central part of Hamburg city life.
8. Museum of Arts and Crafts - Great place. The building is a minimalistic piece of art itself.
9. International Maritime Museum - Extremely interesting museum with 9 floors (or decks) to see with artifacts ranging from ancient remnants of simple canoes to the replicas of the most modern engines. The museum uses different media to tell the story of the maritime science. They also have a stunning collection of maritime art and renowned artists, like Aywazovsky. A must-see in Hamburg.
10. Planten un Blomen Park - an urban park with a size of 47 hectares (116.1 acres) in the inner-city of Hamburg, Germany.
11. The Hamburg Museum - Wonderful museum with great exhibitions displaying the long history of Hamburg. Could have spent hours more there. Only slightly lacking in 20th century - and particularly WWII - history, but earlier periods exquisitely covered. Model railway on 2nd floor probably mainly interesting to enthusiasts.
12. Museum of Ethnology - Very cool and interesting museum! Nice exhibitions from various cultures around the world and from different time periods.
13. Altona - the westernmost urban borough (Bezirk) of the German city state of Hamburg
14. Museumshafen Oevelgönne (Museum Harbor) - Excellent place to see an assortment of old ships up close. The place is staffed by friendly volunteers and admission costs to the larger boats are nominal.
15. Jenisch Haus - A nice house in a great location.
16. Tierpark Hagenbeck - A very great zoo. They are spacious and green. Super worth it for the price, there are many interesting and exotic animals.

Hamburgteile 61B Othmarschen

Ungefragt bezahlt vom Hamburger Steuerzahler.
