Driving to Jerome, Arizona
Driving to Jerome, Arizona. This video was taken on 89A North From Prescott Valley to Jerome. It was a cool road and we saw some awesome views. This was part of our drive from Scottsdale, AZ to Jerome and Sedona for a weekend trip in Dec. 2017.
Jerome is a town in the state of Arizona. Founded in the late 19th century. it is more than 5,000 feet above sea level. It is about 100 miles north of Phoenix along State Route 89A between Sedona and Prescott. Supported in its heyday by rich copper mines, it was home to more than 10,000 people in the 1920s. As of the 2010 census, its population was 444. Art galleries and small wineries dot the downtown area.

Author: Mark V. Fusco San Antonio, TX In this special episode of 1337 Wine TV, Mark visits Caduceus Cellars in Jerome, Arizona. Yes, Arizona. This is the last of his trip out West visiting wineries. Napa, Sonoma, makes sense, yes? Arizona? Believe it or not, wine is made from grapes actually grown in Arizona. Caduceus was founded by Tool lead singer Maynard James Keenan. Maynard isn't some celebrity that lent his name to a winery for money. He IS the winemaker. I had the opportunity to taste some of his wine back in August of 2014, so when I decided to drive to California, I made sure I figured out a way to make a detour to Jerome which is about 2 hours north of Phoenix. So it's not a quick trip when you're trying to get back to Texas. I had the pleasure to meet with Brian Sullivan. Brian is not only one of the most interesting people I met on the trip, but is one of the most interesting people I've ever met. He is the Tasting Room Manager and essentially town historian even though he is not from Jerome. What made this visit even more special is that there was a miscommunication as to which day I would be arriving. I arrived a day after the people at Caduceus thought I was going to be there. Brian was by himself when I arrived, but he was gracious enough to go through the history of Jerome, the winery, and the state of wine making and grape growing in the state until help arrived. Once more people came in, Brian was able to sit down with me to do the show. We tasted 3 wines. 2 from the Velvet Slippers Club (Caduceus's; wine club) and 1 regular Caduceus release. Wines tasted are the 2011 Caduceus Cellars Velvet Slippers Club Sangiovese, the 2012 Caduceus Cellars Nagual del Marzo, and the 2011 Caduceus Cellars Velvet Slippers Club Montepulciano. On a side note. If you plan on visiting, don't believe the GPS when it tells you to go straight on a dirt road. Take the right turn to stay on the main drag. It'll eventually take you to the tasting room. The dirt road is pretty rough and goes through a neighborhood and they aren't too keen on thru traffic. Don't worry, nothing bad will happen, but I thought I'd at least ask you respect their wishes to not take what is essentially a private road. There is a sign basically saying this too.

Maynard James Keenan: The Art of Work Pt. 1 (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Caduceus Cellars)
WATCH THE FULL SERIES HERE:
Tucked in the Black Hills of Yavapai County, Arizona, Jerome has long attracted intrepid characters. In the late 1800s, prospectors descended on the historic town looking to capitalize on its rich copper mines. Over a hundred years later, a different type of pioneer arrived: Maynard James Keenan. The Tool, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle frontman has carved out a uniquely anti-rock-star life in this rugged terrain, filled with winemaking, farming and community building. For two days this past July, Keenan extended a very special invitation to Revolver to join him during this summer's grape harvest. In Episode 1 of our multi-part series, he reveals how his work in Jerome helps create the friction that ignites his creativity.

JEROME, AZ!!!
So before I explain the video did anyone else know that when you get your burger rare it means barely cooked? I could've sworn it meant really cooked. Anyway, such a fun trip to Jerome and Flagstaff. We snuck into Snowbowl and learned a lot about what's in store for the resort this year too from the security guard that kicked us out. Hope you enjoy!

???? Full Time RV Sedona & Jerome Arizona | RV Living!
We arrived in the Sedona area the first week in April 2019. This was Chad’s first time here and Tara hadn’t been to Sedona in over 20 years, so we were pretty excited.
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Click Show More ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
We decided to stay a little outside of Sedona, so we could be closer to Jerome and also because it was a little less expensive to stay outside of the main touristy areas.
We stayed in Camp Verde at Verde River RV Resort. We were hesitant to book this park at first because the reviews weren’t the greatest. After looking into it a bit more, we found out that the park was under new management. We decided to give this place a try and are pleased with our decision. The sites were large and the park had some amenities like a pool, putt-putt, and dog parks. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
We were very excited to explore this beautiful area on Lucille, our 2017 Indian Roadmaster.
