President Nelson Continues South America Ministry Tour in Uruguay
President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints met with missionaries and members during a visit to Uruguay’s capital city of Montevideo, Thursday, October 25, 2018, the fourth location in his five-country ministry tour of South America. The port city is home to colonial architecture and the country’s only Latter-day Saint temple.
President Nelson, regarded as a prophet of God by Latter-day Saint faithful, embarked on a nine-day journey nearly a week ago with his wife, Wendy, and Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Lesa.
Missionaries from the Montevideo and Montevideo West Missions were able to spend some time with the global Church leaders Thursday afternoon. In the evening, a devotional was held at the Landia Complex, which was broadcast throughout Uruguay.

While I constantly try to find the positives in every place I visit, there are few places that I just simply didn't enjoy.
The country of Brunei is one of them.
I went to Brunei back in 2014, three years before I made videos, but my negative experiences in the country have stuck in my mind ever since. That, combined with its absurd human rights laws such as stoning to death LGBT members, I was pushed to make this video.
Have you ever visited any countries that you didn't enjoy? Please share below, I'm curious to know.

Walking Montevideo's Coast
My first day in Montevideo and I think I wore myself out already. I walked 12,000 meters (7.5 miles) on a round trip walk from my hotel and past the fort. Yes there is an old fort that surrounds part of the city. There is a place to walk alongside and there are different monuments, memorials, parks, and areas for fitness. I saw a guy fishing and he was struggling to pull the line up, turns out it was just a pair of pants. There is not much audio in this video aside from music due to the heavy winds, but the video includes several clips from alongside the coast.

2. Demonstrators gathered outside premises where local Jewish man David Fremd was allegedly stabbed
3. Demonstrators handing out posters to passing drivers
4. SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Vox pop, Virginia Monaco, local resident:
He was an excellent neighbour, a client, a businessman, one of a kind, a great person. It is because of this we are marching here, so that these kind of things do not continue to happen.
5. Woman holding candle and rosary beads
6. Demonstrators holding placards reading (Spanish) Peaceful Coexistence
7. Teenagers lighting candles
8. Demonstrator holding candle
9. SOUNDBITE (Spanish) David Janowitz, uncle of David Fremd:
I wish that this never happens again, that we can learn to understand one another. I thought that Paysandu was different, that we would never have to experience something like this. It is so much easier to live in harmony, in peace, in a small city without these kind of monstrosities happening.
10. Various of demonstrators marching
11. Exterior of David Fremd's shop and sign in window reading (Spanish) We are all #David
12. Pan from sign to marchers
13. SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Georgina Nuzzachi, demonstrator:
I think the first thing that needs to be done is to determine if this person (the alleged murderer) actually belonged to a collectivity or if it is just an isolated case, I think that is something fundamental. We cannot put everyone in the same basket, especially if there is no kind of answers here. In reality, the justice system is running its course even if there already has been a prosecution. You cannot see or prove that this is something widespread, I think that is the first thing to keep in mind.
14. Demonstrators gathered at end of march
STORYLINE:
Demonstrators took to the streets of a northern Uruguayan city on Saturday to march against an alleged case of religiously motivated hate crime.
A march was held in Paysandu after a local Jewish man was allegedly murdered ealier in the week.
The 53-year-old business owner, David Fremd, was reportedly stabbed to death in front of his shop in the city centre on Tuesday.
The authorities are treating the killing as a religious hate crime, as the alleged perpetrator - a convert to Islam - claimed he targeted Fremd because of his Jewish faith.
The march on Saturday, organised by Fremd's family members and neighbours, started and finished at the spot where he was killed at Constitution Square.
Political and religious leaders throughout Uruguay condemned the crime in Paysandu, a city of approximately 75,000 people about 400 kilometres (248 miles) north of the capital Montevideo, which is typically recognised for its rural and peaceful way of life.

Uruguay is located in South America, on the Atlantic coast between Brazil to the North-East and Argentina in the western part.
