How to make electric bike at home - with pedal assist | DIY electric bike | dArtofScience
In This Video we will see How to make electric bike - with pedal assist
Features of this electric bike :
1. A Sway-trike with geared pedaling & electric option
2. Electric Power
3. Pedal Power
4. Sway: power
5. Sway & turn demo
6. Turning limiter
7. Tie-rod
8. Turn & tilt joint steering knuckles
9. Sway: Lock options
10. Speed Gears
11. 24V Dc motor
12. Dual Shock Absorb-er
13. Brake lever
14. Twin disk brakes
15. Portable battery
The e-clip was made entirely in our office as a hands-on exercise of design and prototyping in our small basement workshop. The idea is not to mass produce these but was for us to understand how a sway trike works/feels to ride and share it with others too.
Though, like everything else we put on d'art of science, we do not patent any invention or design, or file and copyrights, you are free to copy, improve and sell it. Pl do not ask us for any blueprints because we just made some sketches and went straight to the prototyping stage. however, if someone would like to buy the prototype to refine and produce it, please write to me deepak@designintervention.biz
the team that worked under my creative direction for e-clip:
Aman Choudhary - NID Transport Design PG, Lead Designer and Engineer
Ajay Yadav - Model-maker and problem solver
Brendon Cardozo - Fabricator
Chirayu Pancholi - Design support and Manager
The set-up video was shot by Ravi Popat
Full video by Pratik Dagaonkar
Thanks to many others from the team who also played other roles in the run-up to the completion of e-clip

creative director robert egger ditches strict bike regulations for latest specialized concept
~
as many creatives know, working under regulations everyday can drastically limit the freedom to expressive whatever you want. specialized creative director robert egger is feeling that burden, and needs to vent, creatively speaking. he’s come up with a concept bike named ‘eff you see eye’ or ‘fUCI’. it represents everything UCI (union cycliste internationle), the governing body of every major bike tour in the world, wants to keep regulated.
‘the UCI really caters to a very small population, but there’s so many other people out there who couldn’t care less about the UCI,’ describes creative director robert egger. ‘they don’t follow the racing and they don’t even know all the limitations that are put on bikes for the UCI riders. so, my feeling was let’s design a bike for someone who really just wants to go fast on a road bike.’

Day 1250+Noitavonne Designing an Electric Bicycle
The Noitavonne Glyde features a 4.3 Display, that functions as a GPS and Communication Device.. The Frame is build with a combination of Aluminum and Carbon Fiber. The designer is a cycling enthusiast who faithfully supports the Global Tours (ie,.. Tour de France). When asked about the motivation for designing this new product, Alexander simply answered, We simply wanted to create something that pronounced mobility in both the design language and its physical state. Added communication to the equation just seamed like a good fit. More from Noitavonne at the 2015 CES.
ELECTRIC DIRT BIKE AND BMX RIDING INTO ABANDONED WATERPARK
Going into an abandoned waterpark in the mountains of France on a BMX bike, and my electric KTM freeride dirt bike, to ride, have fun and shoot photos on our trip down to Spain! Riding a dirt bike in a waterpark feels really bulky and might not be the best thing to ride there, but its always fun to try new things! Wanna try with mountain bike next time!

Copenhagen Wheel: World's Smartest Bike
Bikes are becoming a convenient form of transport with people becoming more environment-friendly. While most designers are focusing on making bikes that fold easily or lock more securely, the MIT Senseable City Lab has come up with the Copenhagen Wheel, a hybrid e-bike which provides feedback on pollution, traffic congestions, and road conditions in real time! Controlled using your smart phone, the Copenhagen Wheel allows you to capture the energy dissipated during cycling and braking and saves it for a boost when needed. Plan your routes and achieve exercise goals efficiently with this creative design concept of a bike.

Couple's own Paris-Dakar using Land Rover transformer-camper
Brice grew up in Morocco overlanding across Africa in 4x4s and 6x6s. When he met his wife Irina they organized off-road trips across the “land of the pharaohs, and Lawrence of Arabia”, but soon realized that as a couple they wanted more overnight comfort so they turned their Land Rover into an quick-transforming micro camper.
With the press of a button, the standard car pops up and out and in 43 seconds becomes a tiny home complete with kitchen, toilet and indoor shower. To take advantage of the limited size within a standard wheelbase, the couple placed a lot on tracks: the dining table/benches slide to make room for a shower stall (rainshower fixture included); the toilet slides out from within the stall. With the push of other buttons, the bed drops down from the ceiling on wires and the back rack drops down into an instant deck.
To create a comfortable off-grid experience, the entire roof of the car is covered in solar panels which provide all of the campers’ electrical needs. The stove runs on the same diesel from the car’s tank to keep things simple and easy to access in remote regions.
The couple named their car, and company, Wild Fennec after a nocturnal fox of the Saharan desert and they are selling their vulpine vehicle for 50,000 euros.

Shimano STEPS E7000 Motor System | EMBN First Look
Shimano's latest E-Bike motor the STEPS E7000, is the cycling giant's new mid-range electric mountain bike offering. It's light, compact and still packs a 500 watt power output to get up any mountain bike climb. Steve takes a closer look whilst out at the Roc d'Azur festival.
In association with Shimano.

Our shop:
Aimed at long adventure riding, the new E7000 motor has minimalist controls and a small display unit for a clean cockpit. The focus upon aesthetics doesn't end there, as the 504 Wh lithium-ion batteries are available in external and internal options depending upon your mountain bike of choice.
The new E7000 motor itself weighs in at a lightweight 2.8kg, and is centred upon the bottom bracket for optimum handling and control. It's a full 2 decibels quieter than the premium E8000 motor, which was already near silent. A narrow Q factor creates a natural pedalling feel, and the motor offers a compact and robust option for those who don't want to break the bank.
As ever the E7000 continues Shimano's tried and proven three power modes: eco, trail and boost. All of these are able to be customised via the Shimano app, so that once you're out riding shifting between modes is easy and intuitive. It's no surprise that the Shimano STEPS system is becoming one of the industry benchmarks.
