The friends Kamakhya Temple is famous about its unique beliefs. This temple is located 7 kilometers away from the capital city of Dispur, Assam. This goddess of power is a temple of Sati. Tantric significance of this temple is. People here go to worship but there are many things about which people still do not know about.
This temple of Sati near Guwahati, Assam, is one of the 52 Shaktipeeths, but it is astonishing that in this temple, one idol of Goddess Sati or Durga will not be seen.
Goddess Sati had gone against her father and married Lord Shiva, due to which Sati's father was angry with him. Once King Daksh organized a yagna but did not send his daughter and son-in-law to the invitation. Sati got annoyed with this, but still he went to his father's house without calling, where his father insulted him and his husband. Being annoyed at this, he jumped into the Havan Kund and committed suicide. When the knowledge of this thing came to Lord Shiva, he took the body of Sati into his own hands and started to pelvic, which was destined to be the destruction of the universe, but Lord Vishnu cut the body of Sati from Sudarshan Chakra and separated from Shiva done. Where the parts of the cut are cut off, they are known as Shakti Peeth.
Goddess Sati's vagina fell into Kamakhya temple. That is why this temple is called Kamakhya.
There is another story related to this temple. It is said that a demon named Naraka had fallen in love with Kamakhya Devi and he proposed marriage, but Goddess kept a condition that if he made stairs on the Nilanchal mountain then he would marry him.
Naraka accepted this condition and got his work done. By midnight, he finished a lot of work when a goddess saw the victory of the monster, then a move came. Goddess took the form of a poultry and began to speak. The monster felt that morning and he was defeated but when he came to know of this move, he killed the poult, the place where that chick was killed, it is called crisp, as well as the stairs made up of those stairs are called Mekhelauja Path.
In the 16th century this temple was demolished, but in the 17th century it was rebuilt by King Nara Narayana of Bihar.
In the outer premises of this temple, you will get to see the shape of many gods and goddesses.

JAI MATA DI

Ambubachi Mela - Kamakhya Temple, Assam
Tantrics, aghoris and sadhus gathered during Ambubachi Mela, to offer prayers and seek the blessing of Goddess Kamakhya. This is the time when all tantrics, aghoris and sadhus perform havan, rituals, sing, dance. Smoke chillam and perform yoga asan at Kamakhya temple.
The Kamakhya Temple is a Sati Pith temple situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India. It is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to different forms of the mother goddess as the Dasa Mahavidya, including Bhuvaneshvari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta, Tripura Sundari and Tara. It is an important pilgrimage destination for general Hindu and Tantric worshipers.
One of the most persistent mythologies concerning the origin of worship at the site is associated with the myth of Sati, who was the wife of the ascetic god Shiva and daughter of the Puranic god-king Daksha. Daksha was unhappy with his daughter's choice of husband, and when he performed a grand Vedic sacrifice for all the deities, he did not invite Shiva or Sati. In a rage, Sati threw herself onto the fire, knowing that this would make the sacrifice impure. Because she was the all-powerful mother goddess, Sati left her body in that moment to be reborn as the goddess Parvati. Meanwhile, Shiva was striken with grief and rage at the loss of his wife. He put Sati's body over his shoulder and began his tandava (dance of cosmic destruction) throughout the heavens, and vowed not to stop until the body was completely rotted away. The other Gods, afraid of their annihilation, implored Vishnu to pacify Shiva. Thus, wherever Shiva wandered while dancing, Vishnu followed. He sent his discus Sudarshana to destroy the corpse of Sati. Pieces of her body fell until Shiva was left without a body to carry. Seeing this, Shiva sat down to do Mahatapasya (great penance). Despite the similarity in name, scholars do not generally believe that this legend gave rise to the practice of sati, or widow burning.
According to various myths and traditions, there are 51 pieces of Sati's body scattered across the Indian subcontinent. These places are called shakti peethas and are dedicated to various powerful goddesses. Kamarupa (form of desire) is the region in which the yoni (vulva, womb, or source) is said to have fallen to earth, and the Kamakhya temple was said to have been constructed on this spot.
