Kameyaeisen is a old-established Japanese sweets store at Kawagoe in Saitama prefecture. This store sell sweets made of sweet potato from the Meiji era. Now there are many sweets inside of the store. So it is popular with tourists.

Kita-in （喜多院) temple is located in Kawagoe district in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. This temple is the main temple for people of Kawagoe.
Part of the Edo Castle has been moved into this temple precincts, including the birthplace (room) of Third Shogun of Japan Iemitsu. There are many artificats that belonged to the Shogun's household like the paintings, in a museum in the temple precincts.
One of the most awe inspiring things in the temple precincts is the 500 statues of Rakan (Buddhas). Every statue is different in this set of Buddhas and you should definitely visit this temple to see it.

► Kawagoe is also know as Koedo (Little Edo) as some of its streets - featured in the video - preserve the old castle town of the Edo period from the 16th. century.
It's a great example of old meets new in Japan, with plenty of architecture from that time to be seen - almost like being on a movie set of some samurai-movie, if it wasnt for the cars passing by, breaking the illusion. The area also hosts a wide range of Sashimi, Unagi and Soba restaurants, along with plenty of souvenir shops, selling traditional goods, such as green tea, chopsticks, knifes and yukatas. It's a brilliant place to take a walk - or by rickshaw (pulled taxi-cart) if you prefer. - Enjoy!

This time, my apato friends and I (mba andri, nia and elita)went to an old town called little Edo in Kawagoe, Saitama Japan, an interesting place in Tokyo. There, we saw bell of time tower (toki no kane) when it is ringing. we also visit some temples in there. well, i felt guiIty for not wearing yukata and not liking the famous purple sweet potato soft ice cream. not to mention for could not afford to take jinrinkisha, japanese unique traditional vehicle. Still, it is another great time to remember. feels like time traveling to the past.

A tour of Japanese street food stalls at Kawagoe Matsuri, a Japanese festival less than an hour from Tokyo.
I couldn't believe how many food stands there were - and a huge variety of types of street food, including yakisoba, sweet potato fries, kara age (fried chicken), choco bananas and lots more. It was a treat to try them all, and see what type of food they have at a Japanese festival.

Best Oyakodon & Egg Sandwich Around Tokyo | OHANA in Kawagoe
As promised here is the introduction of my favorite Oyakodon restaurant these days.
OHANA is located in Kawagoe (about 30 minutes from Ikebukuro) and offers the most delicious egg food. From Oyakodon to the egg sandwich everything is so fluffy and tasty! ;-)
I hope that you will enjoy these images. OHANA is located right next to the Kura Zukuri area of Kawagoe so it is a very nice area to do tourism. The tower Toki no Kane is a must see as well as the Starbucks and you can try lots of delicious foods and buy nice souvenirs too.

A day trip from Tokyo! Kawagoe is a small city in Saitama prefecture. It's about an hour train ride from Shinjuku. Kawagoe is also known as Little Edo. This Edo-period castle town is perfect for a small get away from the big city.

Why not wear a kimono and stroll the around Koedo Kawagoe? (Kawagoe)
In Kawagoe, much of the Edo-like feel to the city still remains. So why not complete the experience by dressing in kimono and strolling the streets. In kimono, you can take pictures of old merchant homes, warehouses (Kuradzukuri), or even the Bell of Time (Toki no Kane) Kawagoe's bell tower.
