Kanda Shrine is a shrine located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. It is portrayed in the anime as the shrine where Toujou Nozomi helps out as a shrine maiden. During the busy new year period in S2 Episode 10, Ayase Eli and Yazawa Nico also helped out as shrine maidens.
The steep steps leading up to the side entrance of the shrine are used by the members of μ's for physical training by running up and down repetitively. The members of μ's are also shown to pray here for good fortune whenever an important live is upcoming.

Jan. 9 to Jan. 11
Daikoku Matsuri at Kanda Myojin Shrine, Chiyoda-ku. Purification ceremony, in which people coming of age pour icy water out of wooden buckets over themselves, takes place from 10 a.m. on the 9th. On the 10th, Hocho-shiki ritual is conducted by Shijo-ryu school of Japanese culinary arts to demonstrate Japanese knife techniques from 12 noon to around 1 p.m. The head master of the Shijo-ryu school, dressed in traditional attire, will skillfully slice a large carp on the chopping board, by only using a knife and chopsticks. Masakado-daiko, a demonstration of traditional drumming, is held several times in the daytime on the 10th. Kanda-bayashi, festival music, is played at Kaguraden continually in the daytime during the festival period.
Access: The JR Chuo Line, Sobu Line or the Marunouchi Subway Line to Ochanomizu Station, and then walk 5 min.

Kanda Myojin (Kanda Shrine), Tokyo
Fantastic Places in Cool Japan :
Kanda Myojin is a shrine in Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku near Yushima. The official name is Kanda Shrine, and serves as the total guardian of 108 neighborhoods in Tokyo, including Kanda, Nihonbashi, and Akihabara. It has been loved by the nickname “Myojin-san” since the Edo period, and is famous as a shrine where the Kanda Festival, one of the three largest festivals in Japan, takes place.
Kanda Myojin has a long history, and it is said that the Izumo clan settled in the Kanto area before the Nara era, built shrines that enshrined Onamuchi no mikoto, which is transmitted to their ancestors.
