Karrakatta Cemetry & Bream Failure

Starts off with a picturesque morning at Cape Perron. Then we go to Nedlands and visit the big cemetery there. On the same day I head down to the Swan River (Nedlands part) and hook my first Bream (after watching a BCF video on how to catch them). I was surprised I caught anything because it was 33 degrees, hot, 2pm and not a cloud in the sky. Oh yeah, at least I hooked something. Every time I go fishing now (except for once) I at least hook something (even if I fish at crap hours) like during mid-day. Hard plastic lures is what I use, without bait. However, I’ll have to progress my fishing skills and start throwing in bait or something as well and use soft plastics sometimes. Goes to show, though, that has lures are pretty entertaining (big sacrifice for a beginner to start off on hard lures like I’ve done). I wouldn’t recommend it. Better to start off with bait. But best to do whatever it is that keeps you fishing, and in my case it’s been hard lures. Happy fishing.

Karrakatta is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Nedlands and 7 km west of the CBD. Its postcode is 6010.
Karrakatta is composed of two distinct areas, due to the Fremantle railway line passing through the suburb. On the south side is Karrakatta Cemetery, which began service in 1899, with a small industrial area occupied by monument builders, associated companies and the depot for City of Nedlands.
The other area north of the railway line and Karrakatta railway station is occupied by the Australian Defence Force's Irwin Army Barracks.
