City Description:
Coromandel is a coastal town on the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand's North Island. It's known for the Driving Creek Railway, a narrow-gauge train ride through mountain forests, past pottery sculptures. Powered by a huge waterwheel, the 1900s Coromandel Gold Stamper Battery still processes gold from rock. The town's gold mining history is chronicled at the Coromandel School of Mines and Historical Museum.rrrrrrrrrnFrom Coromandel Harbour, the Kauri Block Track leads up to an old Maori pa (fortress), with views over the town and offshore islands. The 309 Road runs south from town, past bushland and local farms. Along the road, the Chiltern Scenic Reserve offers trails and a picnic area. Farther south, the Waiau Falls pour over a rock face surrounded by dense vegetation. Nearby, a boardwalk leads into Kauri Grove, a cluster of huge native trees. Long Bay Beach is a popular spot for camping and swimming, and boats launch from Wyuna Bay.
Weather and Events:
Oct–Apr is a common time to visit Coromandel, when the weather is typically mild and comfortable. Days can be warm during the height of summer (Jan–Feb). Winter (Jun–Aug) is cool, with some chilly lows. Rain is possible year-round. Illume: Coromandel Winter Festival of Light (Jun/Jul) sees the town’s main street lit up in a colourful display, with live music, art displays and street food.

Te Kauri Park Loop walk
Another bush walk adventure with fellow youtuber Ceolskog
We parked up near the entrance of Te Kauri Lodge, and started our journey heading westward along the road for about 50 metres until we arrived at a sign SHEEP TRACK .. so we crossed the stile and followed the fenceline.
For Sale in New Zealand - Wairere Valley Farm
This property has everything - river, hills, forest, grazing, unique natural features, giant boulders and rock formations, rare flora and fauna and even an island.
You can see for miles from the renovated character three bedroom home that looks out towards the Hokianga Harbour and the ranges beyond, yet is still not far from the Bay of Islands. Surrounding the house and on both sides of the road are 8 ha of paddocks for you to fatten your own beef, graze horses, keep beehives for Manuka honey or lease out.
A large proportion of the rest of the property is designated as significant native forest with magnificent specimen trees of Rata, Kauri, Rimu and Puriri. There are grassy clearings, forest trails and tracks for you and your family to explore and rare wildlife to discover. You also have riparian rights to approximately 1km of the Wairere River with private swimming holes and picnic spots for your whole family to enjoy. The Wairere river is also ideal for kayaking, dinghy and fishing trips. You will also own a major part of the significant natural geological feature of the Wairere boulders and this, together with over half a km of road frontage, access to the river from your own three acre island and causeway in the tidal flats and the proximity of the Twin Coast Cycle Trail offers excellent tourist potential for nature walks, cycle tracks, horse trekking and kayaking or ATV trips and accommodation.
Owners are reluctantly committed to selling this unique, once in a lifetime property.
