YELLOWFIN BREAM - Kayak Fishing NSW Central Coast
A cold and windy winter's day still can't stop Glenn Allen finding good fish in amongst structure.
By targetting snags and structure directly underneath fleeing birds, Glenn could move through the creek being very efficient at finding fish holding water.
Glenn details his techniques and why sometimes, even as a very seasoned angler, you can't win every fight.

Kayaking NSW: Woy Woy to Waterfall Bay
On this Sunday we set out for a group social paddle organised and led by Kayak Central Coast. It was quite warm and overcast but we had a nice high tide to begin our paddle.
We made our way out under the Woy Woy bridge after passing through the wake of multiple ferries and headed out to the secluded Waterfall Bay. Along the way, Colin pointed out some historical points of interest and shared a few interesting facts about the area.
We didn't expect a raging stream of water at the bay but it was very dry. This allowed us to do some exploring of the area, only accessible by kayak.
On the way out we stopped by Woy Woy bay and Phegans Bay where we had a few goes at the rope swing.

Kayaking NSW: Woy Woy to Rip Bridge Group Paddle, Central Coast
We started out from Woy Woy Lions Park with quite a larg group of regulars and newcomers to our group paddle.
There was plenty of action out on the water as we are moving into holiday season. Boats, Jet skis an other paddlers were all out and about which made for some fun wake surfing.
We paddle around through to St Huberts Island and had a rest at the beach. We then journeyed on to the Rip Bridge where the current was moving extremely fast - even the boats were struggling. A few of the braver kayakers paddled hard against the current to make it to the otherside, and for others the choppy water resulted in a cold dip in the water with a flipped kayak.

After leaving the Blue Mountains behind us and hoping the fog too, we returned to the NSW central coast between Sydney and Newcastle. This video follows us on our northward journey ending in Port Macquarie, where our journey through North NSW towards Queensland begins.
But first we drove inland hoping to avoid the rain to the Hunter Valley wine region for the day. We did some wine tastings at some small local wineries then back to the coast that evening, and back in the water the next day for a surf.
Both Central and North Coast offer some of the best surf waves we have ever ridden, we both improved rapidly, and I'm sure surfing 2 times a day for a week helped. Water temperature getting up to the mid 20s also meant no more wetsuit!

Aquafun Avoca Lake on the Central Coast by Grasshopper Travel
Michael and Jennifer Kilp have owned and operated the business since 1999. Their energy and enthusiasm has seen the business expand and diversify to the extent that it is now a thriving business. Aquafun employs a number of local youth as well as attracts considerable tourists to the area, supporting the sociocultural and economic development of the township and region. This large coastal lagoon, right in the heart of Avoca Beach, is relatively untouched by development. The star shaped lagoon with a large island at its centre offers many creeks, passages, inlets and wide expanses to explore. This ecologically significant and picturesque wetland area is home to pelicans, herons, cormorants, many other birds and wildlife. Avoca Lagoon wetland is also home to an endangered Green & Golden Bell Frog colony, diverse and rare flora and its abundant fish stocks afford excellent fishing opportunities.
