Kep National Park offers great walking paths, including a jungle hike, and an elevated view of the nearby coastal town of Kep, Cambodia and the Gulf of Thailand.
Monkeys at Kep National Park are also visible and can be seen from close distances. All of this natural environment comes with a comfortable shady setting.
It's when Matt ventures off onto secondary trails, at higher elevations in the jungle and without protection from the sun, does he experience a more challenging outdoor activity than the original 10-kilometer hike.
The reward on the day, besides viewing monkeys from a close range, is a delicious crepe from the Led Zep Cafe at the trails end.

8 Km. Trekking Around Kep National Park
Our first experience to walk 8km. around Kep National Park in Kep Province. It's a new place to visit in Cambodia. Kep National Park is situated on a small hill with trees and beautiful nature. A coffee shop up there (it's not open on that day), we can enjoy a coffee or drink and enjoy the view of Kep beach and surrounding. It's not so tired cuz we walk in the shade for 8Km. with the sound of bugs, birds, and nature. We relax at Angkol beach viewpoint, Kampot viewpoint, Kep beach viewpoint. We're back to our van and hopefully we're back someday to walk around Kep National Park again.

One country, four provinces, six days.
My sisters and I travelled to Cambodia for six days. Our first stop was in Siem Reap. Next we went to Kampot and Kep. Third day was more like a day on the road. Arrived in Kampot at night. I do not recommend taking the Sorya bus as it takes almost 5 hours. Ekareach van takes 3 hours only (this is what we took on the way back to PNH).
Never forget to visit Kampot and Kep whenever you are in Cambodia but I dont recommend going on their rainy season coz it sure will rain all day. If you want something quiet, not crowded, lazy, then this is the place for you. Kampot is a small town where you can just walk or bike around. Kep is a 30-min ride from Kampot. Tourist tend to skip this province, DONT!
We went to their Secret Lake, Kampot Pepper Farm and Kep Crab Market. We were supposed to go to a cave but the rain didnt stop and wasnt able to tour more of Kep coz of the harsh wind and rain (sea side).
There are still many things you could do or places you could go in Kampot and Kep. Make sure to stay for a few days. One to two days is not enough.
The list below is a breakdown of our expenses in Kampot and Kep:

Drive on the Kep National Park track, Kep, Cambodia
Short drive along the 8km track around the Park and ending in front of the Led Zep cafe from Christian, the 'silent manager' of the Kep National Park. It is he who takes care of the rubbish, building new trails etc. So please stop by his place and support it with consuming something and enjoying one of the best views in Kep.
