New York Mountains from Keystone Canyon
Hi Folks!
I'm gonna mention a few other folks in the video but am not expecting shout outs in return i just happened to think of you guys while out there... you'll notice there are zero others on this trail.. I want to make the info available to people who know about it and want to go out here, and love taking my subscribers along but i do prefer if people find me the hard way to limit the number of people we send out to these types of places....
There is limited information about climbing the New York Mountains online and in books, very limited. I thought the few of us who want to get up here might find this helpful as i was struggling a bit with the route. New York Two has been described as everything from easy scramble to difficult technical so i imagine it is actually somewhere in between, but i will warn you people have died making mistakes up there. Be Careful. Hopefully I'll make us a video of how to get up that part but it make be awhile..
If you'd like to go up there in the warmer months i'm interested in joining you, but of course this is a place for solitude.. i won't be offended if you go it alone - but please do let us all know how it went!
If you plan to go, PLEASE respect the rules, Wilderness Boundaries, and PACK OUT ALL TRASH including toilet paper. THAnks!

RETURN TRIP TO VALDEZ ALASKA - Why it’s our favorite seaside town and... OUR BEST HIKE YET!
IT’S HARD TO PICK A FAVORITE BUT VALDEZ ALASKA MIGHT BE OUR FAVORITE ALASKA TOWN!
That’s why we chose to go back there for a second visit during our 2019 van trip in Alaska. You’d think since we were going to be in the state for no more than 8 weeks we would see all we could see. But, we woke up in Anchorage and had a very deep discussion about whether it’s better to seek out new places or spend time in familiar places you know you like.
We thought we were going back to Valdez with our granddaughter when she visited but that didn’t happen so off we set out to go back down the Richardson Highway to what might be our favorite little seaside town. This time we wanted to fish, take a boat out to see glaciers and hike more. In this video we share with you our most favorite hike in our lifetime, so far, the Goat Trail right across from Bridal Veil Falls. It’s a 9 mile hike up a mountain beside of steep cliffs in a bear infested area. But, the payoff at the end is just breathtaking... waterfalls... glaciers... glacier fed streams... and wildlife. We think you’ll see why it’s our favorite hike so far.

Valdez, Alaska
Now that our Alaska Tour caravan has completed, four families decided to travel home together! Our first night was boondocking (dry camping) along the road just north of Anchorage. The following day we turned south and headed to Valdez, Alaska!
The 100 mile drive into Valdez took us past numerous spectacular vistas that we had to stop at and take pictures! In Valdez we found a beautiful campground nestled amongst towering glacial & snow covered mountains! I was able to take multiple quadcopter flights to capture the beauty!

Ride starts from Keystone Canyon(named after Pennsylvania, the Keystone State, by a Pennsylvanian...what else?) and goes almost to Tok, AK (watch to the end to find out how to pronounce Tok).
This ride reminded my quite a bit of the Alps.
