The Saw Doctor, Australian National Museum in Canberra AU
This overwhelming 'travel machine' has been build over time by the Englishman Harold Wright, who at first migrated from England and began walking Queensland roads to find work in the 1930's.
In 1935, Harold constructed this wagon as his home and workshop. The next 34 years he traveled throughout north-west Victoria and New South Wales with his wife, whom he met in Queensland and their daughter, as well as dogs, cats and chickens.
The wagon was build out of a wide range of cheap or free materials. Harold reconstructed and enlarged an original horse drawn wagon and to start with he used horses as traction and a fair few tractors. And with rising fuel costs, he went back to horsepower.
Harold continued to live and work in his wagon until his dead in 1969. His wife sold the wagon to a second hand goods dealer in Wangaratta. Eight years later a scrap dealer, who recognized the wagon from his childhood bought it. In 2002 the museum bought it from him and ensured him that it would be preserved.

This is the Telstra Store Wangaratta 5km course.

ASC 30th Anniversary Video
The Anglican Schools Commission (Incorporated) (ASC) was established in 1985 with the aim of providing Anglican families and others with ready access to affordable Christian education in the Anglican tradition.
Since its establishment, the ASC has founded or acquired fourteen schools: eleven are situated in Western Australia and three are in the Diocese of Wangaratta in north-east Victoria and the Albury border area of New South Wales. Most schools in Western Australia are known as 'Anglican Community' schools or 'Anglican' schools and all but our inner city school, St George's Anglican Grammar School, in Perth's CBD, have been established in developing areas. In Victoria, two schools are known as 'Anglican Colleges' and one as an 'Anglican Grammar School'. The ASC's most recent acquisitions are Trinity Anglican College with campuses in Albury and Wodonga; Cobram Anglican Grammar School (Victoria); and St George's Anglican Grammar School. Our newest school to be established is St James' Anglican School in Alkimos, 40kms north of Perth. The campus is situated on a 10-hectare greenfields site overlooking the Indian Ocean.

In this video we see another light blue Cleanaway Side Loader out of the Blacktown yard with a 2007 Iveco Acco and Macdonald Johnston 25m GenV body. This time handling a residential recycling run in the Baulkham Hills contract on a sunny Thursday morning in the booming urban area of Beaumont Hills. This truck is an ex Parramatta Green Waste truck and after it finished full time service in Parra 4 years ago it has been used ever since as a reliable and young spare/floater truck in a number Cleanaway's Sydney contracts.
Im sure we all recognise the young gun behind the wheel, who was having a good time driving this beast and scooping those recycle bins up and down with a quick lifter and a speedy set of grabs. Couldn't have asked for better weather conditions on this particular day....clear blue sky with the sun shining and no wind, which means you can clearly hear the engine working at its best as it roared through the streets !
All recycle from the Baulko contract is taken to Visy Smithfield for processing, Mitch did two solid loads of recycle on this day. He was supposed to do three loads but an extra floater truck came in to his work to take out a load for him. Its a mean sounding and hard working truck this one and in great condition for its age too. Hope everyone enjoys the action and I reckon the video should be an easy watch considering the truck and operator in the spotlight !
