Kiran Nadar Museum of Art
Tour to Museum. stablished at the initiative of the avid art collector Kiran Nadar, the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) opened its doors to the public in January 2010, as the first private museum of Art exhibiting Modern and Contemporary works from India and the sub-continent. Located in the heart of New Delhi, India’s capital city, KNMA as a non-commercial, not-for-profit organization intends to exemplify the dynamic relationship between art and culture through its exhibitions, publications, educational and public programs.
The ever-growing collection of KNMA is largely focused on significant trajectories. Its core collection highlights a magnificent generation of 20th century Indian painters from the post-Independent decades and equally engages the different art practices of the younger contemporaries.

“You see it outside your home, you even see it within. You see it in what you eat and even in what you drink. You even like to flaunt it from head to toes. It's there at back of your hand and just behind your home. It's in the streets you walk….” To know more watch this video from KNMA.

#ChaloMuseum - A Museum Can Be a Fun Place For People of All Ages
Inclusivity is an important tenet of KNMA’s mandate and goal. We strive with our full capacity to serve this purpose to include all age groups in it. As kids the first activity we learn is to draw and paint. That's how we learn to express ourselves. But as we grow older other things take centre stage and we often forget the simple joy of art. The Kiran Nadar museum of art took great pride in helping residents of two old age homes connect with this feeling. Not only was it a great outing for them it was wonderful to see the enthusiasm with which they turned back the clock. They maybe old in years but they were still children at heart. KNMA encourages participation of the local community through various activities organized within and outside the museum premise. We hope to actively expand its reach to a wider community and be accessible to diverse groups.
