Ku Ka Sing Ruins in Roi-Et, Thailand - HD
It is very unusual to have 900-1,000 year old Khmer-style ruins in Thailand to yourself, but at Ku Ka Sing there are very few people and at Ku Phon Rakang just a 3-minute drive away, even less. This makes them very popular with film crews and the like, as they pretty much have the place to themselves. Both Ku Ka Sing and Ku Phon Rakang are located in Ban Ku Ka Sing in the Kaset Wisai District of Roi Et, a city which is around 60 kilometres away. Both ruins are quite remote, but free of charge to visit. Some say that that Ku Ka Sing was meant to be a shrine dedicated to Siva, one of the supreme Gods in Hinduism.
The two are reported to date back to 1017 – 1087 A.D.
More on the history of these ancient monuments to be added soon.
