If there is one must-see sight that no visit to Bangkok would be complete without, it's the dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace, undoubtedly the city's most famous landmark.
Located at the heart of Bangkok, the Grand Palace was a former residence for King Rama I to King Rama V
Within the palace complex are several impressive buildings including Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), which contains the small, very famous and greatly revered Emerald Buddha that dates back to the 14th century.
Today, the place is used for hosting royal ceremonies and welcoming the king’s guests
2- Wat pho
Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha a must-do for any first-time visitor in Bangkok. It's one of the largest temple complexes in the city and famed for its giant reclining Buddha that measures 46 metres long and is covered in gold leaf. It’s an easy ten minute walk from Grand palace.

There are so many things to do in Bangkok. This is just a few of my personal recommendations and is just a tip of the iceberg. Everyone has different interests of what interest them so I do not expect everyone to agree. See description below for details.
00:26 Airport Rail Link- The line provides an airport rail link from Suvarnabhumi Airport, via Makkasan Station, to Phaya Thai station in central Bangkok.
00:37 Lumpini Park- The park offers rare open public space, trees, and playgrounds in the Thai capital and contains an artificial lake where visitors can rent boats. Its interesting to visit around dusk. How to get here go to Lumpini Station (MRT) or Sala Daeng Station (BTS) Silom Line.
00:48 Erawan Shrine- It is a shrine in Bangkok, Thailand, that houses a statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of the Hindu god of creation Lord Brahma. Also Central World Shopping Mall is just right across the intersection. How to get here go to Chit Lom Station (BTS) Sukhumvit Line.
01:47 Maha Nakhon- It is Thailand's second tallest building (314 Metres) as of 2018. Catching the sunset of the city at a roof top bar.
01:53 Tour Chao Phraya river- Take the Chao Phraya Express boat and take in the sights and sounds. 15 Baht($0.48 USD) per person.
02:39 Chao Phraya river Dinner cruise- Book a dinner cruise and enjoy the evening on the river.
03:31 Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)- Monumental Buddhist temple right on the river, with an iconic, ornately tiled central prang.
04:17 Icon Siam- Icon Siam Shopping Mall has been called the “Mother of All Malls” and it is set to open in late 2018. With two towers, two shopping malls, it also features an indoor floating market.
04:26- Chinatown, Yaowarat Road- One of the largest Chinatowns in the world. It was founded in 1782 when the city was established as the capital of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. How to get here go to Hua Lamphong Station (MRT) or Rachawong Pier (N5) if using Chao Phraya Express Boat.
05:07 Khaosan Road- In former times the street was a major Bangkok rice market. In the last 20 years, however, Khaosan Road has developed into a world-famous backpacker ghetto. How to get here go to Phra Arthlt Pier (N13) if using Chao Phraya Express Boat.
05:54 Asiatique The Riverfront- A large open-air night market and a mall. Ten minutes downriver from Saphan Taksin Station (BTS) this once-bustling international trade port has been transformed, with over 1,500 boutiques and 40 restaurants.
06:47 Chatuchak weekend market- It is the largest market in Thailand. Also known as JJ Market, it has more than 15,000 stalls, divided into 27 sections. How to get here go to Mo Chit Station (BTS) on Sukhumvit Line or Chatuchak Park Station (MRT).
06:58 JJ Green Night market- It is located beside Chatuchak market, opens every night. Mo Chit Station (BTS) on Sukhumvit Line or Chatuchak Park Station (MRT).
09:12 MBK Centre- A large shopping mall, at eight stories high, the center contains around 2,000 shops, restaurants and service outlets, including the 4-story Tokyu department store. How to get here go to National Stadium Station (BTS) Silom Line.
09:42 Siam Paragon shopping mall- It is the sixth largest mall in Thailand, following CentralWorld, CentralPlaza WestGate, kingpower, viewmal and ETC. One can find all their luxury desires here. How to get here go to Siam Station (BTS).
10:09 Terminal 21 Shopping Mall- It is a one floor one theme shopping mall. The concept is market streets of the world. It is decorated based on well-known streets in cities such as Rome, Paris, Tokyo, London, Istanbul. This mall has the longest escalators in Thailand, up to 36 metres. How to get here go to Sukhumvit Station (MRT) or Asok Station (BTS).
10:44 Soi Cowboy- Adult Entertainment. It is a short 150 meter long street in with some 40, mostly go-go bars. It caters mainly to tourists and expatriates. Soi Cowboy contains one of the three largest groups of foreign-oriented bars in Bangkok. How to get here go to Sukhumvit Station (MRT) or Asok Station (BTS).
Mass Transit System (BTS)- Has 2 Lines. Sukhumvit Line and Silom Line. Above ground like Skytrain.
Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT)- Have 1 Line and is underground.
