SwissTravelChannel is a YouTube channel of my holiday’s trips videos, taken all around the world since 2008. Some are for pure tourism and others are more of an adventure. The videos usually show the top best tourist attractions, the top things to do and top places to see. The goal is to inspire others on their next vacations. The videos can also be seen as a guide to have an idea of the main highlights and places to explore. I love to take pictures of the nature, traditions and different cultures, to search the must-see spots and show the essentials in my videos, for this reason I always try to create the perfect vacation. Traveling is more than a hobby for me, is a way of life.

BYRON BAY (source Wikipedia):
Byron Bay is a beachside town located in the far-northeastern corner of the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 772 kilometres (480 mi) north of Sydney and 165 kilometres (103 mi) south of Brisbane. Cape Byron, a headland adjacent to the town, is the easternmost point of mainland Australia. At the 2011 census, the town had a permanent population of 4,959. The town is in turn the nucleus of Byron Shire, which had 29,209 residents.
The local Arakwal Aboriginal people's name for the area is Cavvanbah, meaning meeting place. Lieutenant James Cook named Cape Byron after Naval officer John Byron, circumnavigator of the world and grandfather of the poet Lord Byron.
The history of Europeans in Byron Bay began in 1770, when Lieutenant James Cook found a safe anchorage and named Cape Byron after a fellow sailor John Byron. The first industry in Byron was cedar logging from the Australian red cedar (Toona ciliata). The timber industry is the origin of the word shoot in many local names – Possum Shoot, Coopers Shoot and Skinners Shoot – where the timber-cutters would shoot the logs down the hills to be dragged to waiting ships.
Gold mining of the beaches was the next industry to occur. Up to 20 mining leases set up on Tallow Beach to extract gold from the black sands around the 1870s.
Byron Bay has a history of primary industrial production (dairy factory, abattoirs, fishing, and whaling until 1963) and was a significant, but hazardous, sea port. The poet Brunton Stephens spoke of cattle grazing on the mossy plains of Cape Byron in a poem he penned in 1876.
The first jetty was built in 1886, and the railway was connected in 1894, and Cavvanbah became Byron Bay in 1894. Dairy farmers cleared more land and settled the area. In 1895, the Norco Co-operative was formed to provide cold storage and manage the dairy industry. The introduction of paspalum improved production, and Byron Bay exported butter to the world. The Norco factory was the biggest in the southern hemisphere, expanding from dairy to bacon and other processed meat.
The lighthouse was built in 1901 at the most easterly point on the Australian mainland. In 1930, the first meatworks opened. The smell from the meat and dairy works was, by all accounts, appalling, and the annual slaughter of migrating whales in the 1950s and 1960s made matters worse. Sand mining for monazite (zircon, uranium and thorium) between the World Wars damaged the environment further, and one by one, all these industries declined.

Our Byron Bay (NSW, Australia) Trip in a Juicy Van
Whaddup GG's! *i've lost my voice in this video sorry*
I've been missing from Youtube for a week now and this video shows you why. We've been bouncin around the beautiful Byron Bay in our Juicy van.
We made the trip up to Byron in order to make this beautiful women's festival called The Returning held on Mt. Jerusalem. You'll see footage from the festival in the video. It was absolutely divine!
Actually the whole trip was divine. We met so many wonderful people, many of them let us camp our van on their land or at their houses and use their facilities (thank you guys!!!). Other times we would park the van next to a beach and sleep there overnight, wake up to the sunrise and do yoga on the beach.
This was perfect timing for me as i've been overworking myself lately. It was exactly what I needed in order to relax and take a break from Youtube for a while. I didn't forget about you guys though and decided I would make a video of the trip and in a way take you all with me :D so I hope that you enjoy this little video!
Hope all you GG's are doing well out there! Hope the energies have been treating you well and you're all feeling healthy, energised and are shining your bright lights.

Once in a Blue Moon
On the 31st of July I captured the rise of the Full Blue Moon in Aquarius. It was a beautiful sight to witness & lucky for me to capture in a time lapse. This video is made up of 1038 frames/images & slowed down as close to real time as I could make it. I have been working on perfecting this type of time lapse for over a year now after seeing the work of a favorite photographer of mine Mark Gee - The Art of Night - The Photography of Mark Gee?. Mark helped by teaching me a few steps to get the image that I was looking for & furthering it by trying to get it in a time lapse motion. It has taken many attempts with many failures along the way, but I wold have to say that this piece is my best attempt to date.
To get this type of video, time lapse or still image from where I captured it in Byron Bay you need perfect weather conditions & also not much sea mist so that you don't have to much haze blurring the view. Timing & location are essential also & for that I use the iPhone App PhotoPills. It is a great App & the team at PhotoPills? are always there to help out if you cant find what you want in the App Tutorials.
The equipment I used to capture this was Canon 7D, Canon 600mm f/4 IS II & Canon 1.4 Extender giving me a focal length of 840mm but 1344mm if you take the cropped sensor of the Canon 7D into the equation.
My location was 4.3 kilometers away from Cape Byron Lighthouse, on Belongil Beach, Byron Bay?, New South Wales, Australia. The head land & lighthouse at Byron Bay is the most easterly point of Australia's Mainland & therefor Is the first place in Australia to watch the full moon rise.

Is Australia REALLY Boring? — Byron Bay, NSW, Australia | The Travel Intern
We often hear people saying that Australia’s boring… Just do a quick YouTube search, and you’ll find a plethora of said videos.
Some of the comments we heard before embarking on our Byron Bay adventure were, “There’s nothing to do except look at waves.” “Older folks would find it fun there.” “It’s the same landscape in every different city.”
So we decided to find out if this was true or not, in our recent adventure to Byron Bay, what we believe is the hidden gem of New South Wales’ coasts.
We interviewed locals, and the funny thing was, they were all shookt when they found out that people actually say that Australia is boring!
Come to your own conclusion if it really is boring or not, as we take you through all the activities we did in Byron Bay and surrounds, then tell us what you really feel in the comments below! ????
If you’ve watched this video and agree that HEY, AUSTRALIA AIN’T BORING, then we encourage you to check this itinerary from Sydney to Byron Bay out:
If you still think Australia’s not your cup of tea, well have a look anyway! You might find something in there that sparks inspiration~

Northern Rivers – This Australian region rolls out paradise upon paradise as a nature-lovers’ haven. Don’t miss the best areas to check out on vacation here.
When ready, browse vacation packages to Northern Rivers:
The #NorthernRivers region sits at the easternmost point of Australia. The heart of the region is Mt Warning, created 23 million years ago when the Tweed Volcano erupted and reshaped the land. It was an event which blessed the entire region with incredibly fertile soils, deep forests, and a unique geology, which many believe gives the region its special energy.
The Northern Rivers begins at Tweed Heads and unrolls southwards for over one hundred miles, taking in some of the purest beaches and most laid-back coastal towns in the world. The inland towns of Mullumbimby and Nimbin possess a pace of life and sense of community that creates a different kind of magic.
From its forests, to its beaches, to every rolling hill in between, #vacation at one of the world’s special places. So come #explore, and find yourself in Australia’s Northern Rivers.

Australian Roadtrip - vol. 2
???????? Kind of pointless now that the semester is over, but for the uni mid-semester break I drove all the way from Brisbane to Sydney. We were 17 people, 1 van and 2 cars. We stayed in Byron Bay for the most magical days in the amazing hostel Arts Factory. We did some more hours of driving. In Port Stephens we were delighted with one of the most amazing moons I have ever seen, while enjoying a couple of beers together. After some last minute booking and other adventures we finally got to Sydney which sadly meant we had to go back to reality.

My next challenge is here, and it's bigger than ever! I have to travel from Brisbane to Sydney, to Melbourne and finally to Adelaide in a rented car. The TWIST? The car can't move without a stranger inside! I have three weeks to convince complete strangers to ride 2,000 miles with me along the whole east coast! Can I do it?

Days 14-15 in Australia - Byron Bay
After spending the night at Coffs Harbour (you really need to check Coffs Hotel if you want to have some party) we arrived in Byron Bay, the hippie village where the waves make the dreams of the surfers come true. We stayed at “Art Factory Lodge”, which was one of the coolest hostels where we have stayed in our trip and which you really should try if you go to Byron Bay. For more info: We spent both days surfing and we also had time to party at “Lalaland”, “Cheeky Monkey’s” ( and Woody’s. We also went to check the lighthouse of Byron Bay, which is the Eastest point in Australia ;)

In regards to the no shoes...lots of people in Byron don’t wear shoes ???? but I think she most of the time performs without shoes!
