-- About this video --
Today we are doing one of the free things to do in Milford Sound which is the walk to The Chasm. The Chasm Walk is located between The Homer Tunnel and Milford Sound on the Milford Road and was one of the activities we missed the other day, so we thought we’d check out this awesome force of nature.
The Chasm Walk is only about a 20 minutes loop walk on a super accessible track. It’s a great taste of Fiordland National Park forest and an excellent short walk in Fiordland National Park.
What’s more, if you are looking for something free in Milford Sound, then this is a good Milford Sound free activity!
So what do you think of The Chasm? Would you do this free walk in Milford Sound or stop by it on the Milford Sound Road? LUK in the comments!

Stopping by to see the steady water and refection of the mountain.
Falls creek New Zealand, Fiordland national park
An unedited video of a waterfall two of my friends and I found while hiking a poorly marked back country trail in fiordland national park. I apologize for the unedited video and poor filming (and choice language). I'm still working with GoPro studio to figure it out!

Humboldt Falls Fiordland National Park NZ
Finally fitting in another video. Here was out quick walk up to Humboldt falls. It was a very tall waterfall that you can see at the end. But I started the video with us driving out of one of my favorite campsites. It gave us a beautiful view of snow caped mountains. The range that is in view in that clip you have to drive through (literally through a tunnel) to get to Milford sound. Very cold, but very beautiful mornings waking up to a site like that.

My stunning hike to Lake Marian, New Zealand, with an unexpected surprise!
One of my favourite hikes. I have now been here twice, once in summer and once in winter, and I have had the place to myself. The reflections were just ridiculous!! New Zealand takes my breath away.

Trout Fishing NZ, Fiordland, Borland Rd. Amazing scenery! NZ day 3
Most amazing scenery in the world!
Got a trout each which tops the day off, but The Getting There Is Half The Fun!!
Borland road was very inaccessible when I was younger, but I had adventurous parents who took us to places that most other people never got to see...ah ha, so that's where I get it from!!
It's a little bit more open to the public now a days, as long as you are careful, and love sandflies ;) as Captain Cook said 'they were put here to keep the beautiful places safe'!!!
wise man!!
Day 3 in NZ was a big day! Up early to drive the Borland road all the way to South Arm, Lake Manapouri. Beautiful Picnic on the beach, Kiwi's do food so well!!!!!
Fishing the Grebe river on the way back.
Fishing a few other very scenic spots on the way home. Watch and see.
Southland, NZ.
