NATIMUK: THE VERJ
A strong artistic community inspires the town of Natimuk, from the adventurous climbers of Mt Arapiles to the collaborators on Nati Frinj festival. It was this group who originally saw the creative possibilities in the median strip in the centre of town. Working with artists and town residents, the aim was to create a new space that was inclusive, social and imaginative.
In 2012 Small Town Transformations invited Victorians to think big about how art could transform their town.

The Wimmera’s flowing tale
If you would like to take a journey along the depth and breadth of the Wimmera River catchment, check this out! Produced in 2006, this short film is a fantastic look back at our river system. It focusses on how Wimmera CMA looks after our catchment and how we manage environmental water releases. Although many things have changed since we made this film, such as completion of the Wimmera Mallee Pipeline and more security for environmental water releases, the themes in this flowing tale have stayed the same. If you would like to know more about environmental water releases in the Wimmera, please visit our website wcma.vic.gov.au
Natimuk Lake One Day After The Floods
Me and the old man drove out to check out the lake. It hadn't been usable for 12 years. It went up another 2 feet overnight. All images captured by yours truly, and bloggie.

Space And Place - Natimuk, Vic 2004
Sometimes beautiful, sometimes comic, sometimes dramatic: Space and Place is a collection of poetic images that play with the extremes of the Wimmera... Drought, dust, fire, plague, flood. It is a performance that explores our relationship to land, space and what gives us our sense place.
Space and Place was performed for the Natimuk Frinj Festival 2003 and for Meeting Place, the Regional Arts Australia conference hosted by Regional Arts Victoria in 2004
Space and Place represents the
