Natimuk is a town in Western Victoria, Australia. It is located about 300 kilometres northwest of Melbourne. A further 10 km west of Natimuk is one of Australia's best climbing areas, Mount Arapiles. At the 2016 census, Natimuk had a population of 514, up from 449 in 2006.

Mount Arapiles is a rock formation that rises about 140 metres above the Wimmera plains in western Victoria, Australia. It is located in Arapiles approximately 10 kilometres west of the town of Natimuk and is part of the Mount Arapiles-Tooan State Park. Arapiles is a very popular destination for rock climbers due to the quantity and quality of climbs. It is one of the premier climbing sites in Australia along with the nearby Grampians. The Aboriginal name for Arapiles is Djurite.

Monique Forestier is a self professed climbing fanatic, and one of Australia’s most acclaimed rock climbers. With over 17 years experience, she has been at the forefront of Australian women’s climbing, with one of her many achievements being the first Australian female to climb routes graded 31, 32 and 33. During these years she has travelled extensively and tackled a diverse range of hard rock climbs around the world. Visiting over 18 countries including Madagascar, China, Vietnam, Borneo, USA and Spain, her experience is wide and diverse.
Australian photographer Simon Carter is recognised internationally for his distinctive rock climbing portfolio. He is the author of four coffee-table books on Australian and World climbing, and is the recipient of several prestigious awards. He was named by Men’s Journal Magazine (USA) as one of the World’s Best Adventure Photographers and described by the editor of Rock and Ice Magazine(USA) as “arguably the greatest climbing photographer of all time”.
In February 2016, Monique will be touring Australia with her husband Simon Carter, on an exclusive speaking event with World Expeditions!
In this night not to be missed, they will reveal some of the most intense, challenging and rewarding climbing experiences. Simon will divulge what it’s like to be a professional outdoors photographer and document some of the most important climbers and climbing areas in the world.
