Beautiful Tourist Spot Gunung Lang Park in Ipoh Malaysia
Gunung Lang recreational park is a beautiful place consisting of a waterfall as if it welcome you to the park. Landscape setting were good.
Unfortunately, the maintenance of the petting zoo were very poor. I believe MBI can do better because it seems that a lot of local and international tourist come here.
The boat ride will cost you RM3/ adult and RM1.50/child/ senior citizen. The boat ride will take approximately 5 mins to the other side. You can rent a bike or go to playground there.
The price for fish food is RM1 and bread for the fish is RM2.

Gunung Lang, which is nestled in the midst of limestone outcrops, into a recreational park with a potential for becoming a tourist attraction. Despite all the time spent and an expenditure of over RM11 million, Gunung Lang still fails to achieve its desired objective which is to be a recreational park as a getaway for city folks and also to attract tourists . . .
A Scenic Cocoon in the Heart of Ipoh.
Gunang Lang still lies in scenic majesty undiscovered and unexplored by Ipohites and tourists alike. Ask the average man-in-the-street about Gunung Lang and chances are one would be greeted with a blank stare and the retort, “Gunung What?”
So what is the reason for its obscurity and at whose feet should the blame for its lack of prominence be placed?
Gunung Lang is located just north of the city off Jalan Kuala Kangsar and easily accessible by road. It has a lake surrounded by greenery and limestone outcrops. It was first identified and adopted by the Rotary Club of Ipoh for development into a family recreational park; much publicity was given but with very little progress. It was unique then as it could only be approached through a cave, which has now been sealed off for safety reasons.
As the proposed project would be a major undertaking, it was later decided by the Ipoh City Council that it would take it over. It allocated a lot of funds towards its development, which was supposed to have been completed in 1995.
However, the question of who would develop it was hotly debated later. The uncertainties arose when the state government announced that it would consider a proposal by the State Agriculture Development Corporation to develop the site as an agro-tourism project.

Ghost town Sungei Pari ipoh Day trip Why its left alone?
Ghost town means no people live at the town at all
I'm not sure what is happening to the buildings.
But for me its seems really creepy, its a tall buildings along with seven block that have only 1% of the occupancy. I'm sure there are something happen here until the buildings left stand alone.

Taman Rekreasi Gunung Lang yang terletak hanya lima kilometer dari bandar Ipoh telah menjadi satu tarikan terbaru buat orang ramai berekreasi santai bersama keluarga.
Apa Yang Menarik Di Gunung Lang?
Dipintu masuk Taman Rekreasi Gunung Lang ini juga, pengunjung berpeluang menikmati percikan air dari air terjun buatan yang merupakan air terjun buatan manusia tertinggi di Malaysia.
Tapi ada waktunya untuk air terjun ini beroperasi iaitu Isnin-Jumaat (10 pagi-12 tengah hari)(4 petang-6 petang) dan pada Sabtu/Ahad/cuti umum (9 pagi-11 pagi)(1 petang-3 petang) dan (5 Petang-7 Malam) sahaja.
Malah masuk sahaja di perkarangan taman ini, anda boleh lihat orang ramai begitu teruja memberi makan kepada ikan jenis keli Afrika dan Ikan Koi, talapia dan lampam yang bersaiz besar.
Makanan ikan ada dijual di gerai makanan cuma berharga RM1 sahaja.
Selepas itu anda boleh bergerak memasuki Gunung Lang dengan menaiki bot khas yang disediakan bagi menyeberang tasik dan melihat mini zoo, Rumah Perak dan pelbagai taman di dalam taman tersebut.
Tambang untuk menaiki bot : RM3 bagi dewasa, bagi kanak-kanak dan warga emas RM1.50 untuk ke pulau itu sejauh kira-kira 300 meter.
Operasi bot adalah pada Isnin hingga Khamis 8 pagi hingga 6 petang, Jumaat (8pagi-12 Tengah Hari)(3 petang-6 petang) manakala pada Sabtu/Ahad/cuti umum (8.30 pagi -6 petang)
Mini Zoo
Taman ini turut menyediakan mini zoo, sepanjang perjalanan anda di dalam taman tersebut anda akan dapat saksikan haiwan seperti burung, burung kasawari, rusa, kuda padi dan landak yang dijaga rapi di dalam kandang masing-masing.
Namun anda dilarang memberi makanan kepada binatang tersebut.
Menara Tinjau
Anda yang bertenaga boleh cuba memanjat anak tangga menara tinjau bagi melihat panorama sekitar taman dari aras tinggi.
Terdapat dua menara tinjau yang boleh anda kunjungi dan bergambar kenangan.
Gua Muka Gorila dan Tasik Ikan Keli
Anda juga jangan lepaskan peluang melihat sendiri gua yang dikatakan berwajah seperti muka Gorila dan memberi makan ikan keli berhampiran tasik taman tersebut.
Jika letih banyak pondok rehat yang redup ditutupi pepohon hijau untuk anda berehat sebentar malah rumah Perak boleh anda masuk untuk bergambar secara dekat.
Terdapat juga kemudahan seperti tandas awam, gerai makanan dan surau buat pengunjung serta sewaan basikal yang cuma berharga RM5 sejam bagi basikal dewasa dan RM2 bagi basikal kanak-kanak.
Rumah Perak
Anda juga boleh melihat sendiri seni bina dan keunikan rumah di tradisional di Negeri ini yang terdapat di dalam taman ini, malah ia lengkap dengan pencahayaan dan kipas untuk kemudahan pengunjung.
Kalau datang Ipoh tak tahu nak ke mana, boleh juga anda masukkan Taman Rekreasi Gunung Lang di dalam ‘list’ aktiviti anda kerana taman ini sesuai untuk anda yang inginkan ketenangan bersama seisi keluarga.
