Ipoh, Malaysia - Travel Around The World | Top best places to visit in Ipoh
Top best places to visit in Ipoh, Malaysia
Ipoh is one of the country’s largest cities, it lies on the west coast of the Malaysian peninsula.
It used be called the City of Millionaires referring to the fortunes made during the tin rush.
You can see splendid architecture around the Old Town.
The best examples are the Court House, the Town Hall,
And the Railway Station, dubbed “Taj Mahal of Ipoh”.
Nearby the Station Square are the Birch Memorial Clocktower, a popular tourist spot,
And the State Mosque.
There are not many landmarks in the city center but there are some interesting buildings worth seeing, like:
Darul Ridzuan Museum,
The Old Federal Building,
St. Michael's Institution,
And several more.
Many Malaysian cities have a large green area in the center.
Padang Ipoh is such a place that around it there are couple of historic and religious buildings.
This is also a good place to play sports.
Very nice place for a walk, especially at night, is Kinta Riverfront.
Just next to it is Dr. Seenivasagam Park, a perfect place for relaxation.
A little outside the city center is Perak Cave Temple.
This Chinese temple houses over 40 Buddha statues,
Including, the tallest and largest Buddha statue in Malaysia, standing almost 13 m high.
And from the top of the Rock, in which the temple was carved,
There is a nice view over both sides of the city.

BEST THINGS TO DO IPOH | MALAYSIA TRAVEL VLOG
CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE:
On todays adventure myself and Lynee hit some of the best places in Ipoh and the state of Perak. Starting off at Sam pong temple complex, we head through a cave to discover an incredible temple within the cave as well as hundreds of Tortoise's which we then proceed to feed, well I feed them and Lynee starts releasing them all! After exploring the temple complex we head to the haunted Kellie's castle, built by a Scottish chap in the early 1900's the building was never completed due to a series of misfortunate events and is now an abandoned castle which is incredible to walk around. Another very cheap day exploring Malaysia, in total we spent under $20 each and had an incredible day travelling!

THINGS TO DO AT NIGHT IN IPOH | MALAYSIA TRAVEL VLOG
CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE:
After a lazy morning we head out late afternoon to explore some of Ipoh at night, first hitting the mural's street where you can see an abundance of street art. A short walk through little India to the 19th century train station which is an epic building... we then stop off for a few beers to escape the rain, afterwards hitting some more street art and then heading to the river front, after a quick stop at the night market, to walk along the river. Once again we have an incredibly cheap day and this is what you can do in Malaysia for less than $15 each... pretty good in my eyes!!
