Beautiful Fredericton Legislature
I went for a free tour in the beautiful old provincial legislature building! Apparently when Prince Charles was seven he snuck into the place and climbed up to the dome and graffiti'd the crap out of the inside of the dome! LOL! Also apparently that huge chandelier crashed onto the premier's desk at one point. :O

Highlights from the British Columbia Legislature on a day of history: Clerk Craig James and Sergeant-at-Arms Gary Lenz were suspended immediately and indefinitely due to an RCMP criminal investigation. Watch James and Lenz leave the chamber and Government House Leader Mike Farnworth, who is also Solicitor General, make the bombshell announcement.

Tucked away down a back road in Sunbury County, New Brunswick, Canada, the Village of Hope is a ten-month, in-residence, christian regeneration program with classroom instruction, an industrial workshop and outdoor activities for men fighting addictions.
Set on 200 acres of sloping woodlands along the North Branch of the Oromocto River, the program offers hope for men in drug and alcohol addictions and their families.

Cathlia Ward Introduced to NB Legislature by MLA Brian Macdonald
HANSARD DAILY - May 7, 2013
Mr. B. Macdonald: It is a pleasure to welcome Cathlia Ward to the Legislature today. I would ask her to stand. Cathlia Ward is a resident of Fredericton and is originally from here. She went to Fredericton High School and is now a student at UNB’s Renaissance College, where she is studying leadership.
Cathlia is very well known in the community for her curling prowess. She is a member of a proud curling family in Fredericton that curls out of the Capital Winter Club. In fact, Cathlia’s father was on the Gushue rink that later went on to win a medal at the Olympic Winter Games. Cathlia herself, despite her young age, has had incredible success with curling. She has been a member of a team of six provincial champions. This year, she was on the women’s under-21 champions team that went to the nationals in Fort McMurray and came in fifth place, representing New Brunswick very well.
Even more remarkable than that is the fact that Cathlia was chosen as a spare to go with the Canadian national team, which was not from New Brunswick. She was chosen as an extra person to go to the international competition in Sochi, Russia, where the team represented Canada. It was quite an impressive accomplishment for such a young woman.
I am proud to say that Miss Ward will be joining me to do some community outreach this summer, and I would ask all the members of the Legislature to join me in welcoming her to the Legislature.
