Day3 Andaman: complete tour guide: Baratang, lime sone cave, Mud volcano: DIY Tour
I have visited Andaman for enjoying my vacation, At the time of trip planning I faced many difficulties due to less information available on internet which forced me to consult many paid travel agencies.
I thought of making a series of videos explaining the Do's and Don'ts and many tips for making your Andaman trip easy and cheaper
I feel there is no need to consult any travel agencies for Andaman Trip
I have created day wise videos of different places to visit in port Blair Havelock and places nearby.
Day 1:
Day 1- On day 1, I visited places in Port Blair like Ross Island, Cellular Jail, Joggers Park, Abradeen Jetty and many more.....
Watch the videos for Hotel Booking, Passes, Route Maps, Ship Timings and many more.
I have shared below some useful websites which I referred while planning my Trip.
Day 2:
Day2-On Day 2, I Visited places like Jolly Buoy Island (paradise in Port Blair must visit), Chidiya Tapu, Munda Pahad etc...
I have given instructions for getting entry passes and tickets for Jolly Buoy Island Entry, no need to pay money to any agents or agencies for booking tickets or passes, all things you can do by yourself without any legal complication.....
Day3:
Day3-On Day 3, I visited Baratang Island.
Bucket listed places in Baratang Island are - Lime stone cave, mud volcano, Mangrove forest boat ride.
One day trip to Baratang Island through tribal reserve of Andaman was Eye Catching
It was very exciting to ride on a boat through mangrove forest to reach lime stone caves .

TRIBES OF ANDAMAN - Jarawa, Sentinelese, Onge || Baratang & Limestone Caves | Andaman | Ch-4, Day-3
The journey is often more beautiful than the destination. This statement holds completely true for this day.
We booked our cab (6-seater) a day before for the Baratang Islands. It cost us around Rs 4000 for the complete journey to and fro. Don't forget to negotiate.
Port Blair - Baratang is around 100 km. We started our journey at 6 am. The checkpoint in Jirketang opens at 9 am and the distance from Port Blair is around 52kms.
The cab has to then move through in a convey for about 48 km through the Jarawa forest reserve. The forest ride is amazingly surreal and if lucky enough, you can spot some Jarawas going about their daily life.
The forest reserve leads to a Jetty from where you can board a ship to the Baratang. The ship ride takes about 10-15 mins.
After reaching Baratang, buy the tickets for the limestone caves from the ticket counter. Ferry Cost per person - Rs 700.
After about 15 mins of roller coaster ride, you will reach very near to your destination. You need to then walk for about 1.5 km to reach the Limestone Caves.
Trust us, this experience of the entire day will be etched in your memory forever.

Andaman & Nicobar - Baratang (Lime Stone Caves, Mud Volcano & Parrot Island).mpg
Baratang is a pristine destination for nature lovers, apart from huge forest cover, mangroves & wild animals, the place is also a famed tourist destination for its famous Lime Stone Caves, the Mud Volcano & Parrot Island (where Parrots in thousand roost for the night - however as I have shot the video both in low light and a from a swaying boat, it is blurred at times)

Andaman Holiday Vlog Day 2 Baratang, Limestone caves
ANdaman Day 2
Hello people,
So today its the second day of my Andaman Holiday. It was a really long day so I thought I will split in in two to three parts. So lets get starred with my journey to Barahtang.
So if you ever visit Andaman then guys be ready to get up super early like 5 or 6pm.
This was out first full day and we got up literally at 6 and left the hotel at 7am for the long drive to Baratang.
So the main destination as limestone caves. Interesting part, we had to drive through a super high security tribal area to get there.
The deal was,one batch of cars can can entire all together exact at 9am when the huge gate guarded by a lot of army men opens and this gate is quite far off from main city port blair.
We got a lot of instructs, were not allowed to stop, no phone and no camera.
Imagine tricibg through a really huge jungle where around 500 tribals live, I so wanted to see tribals but they now don't come out, thanks too one person who harassed them few years ago.
After driving for about 2 hours, we reached a port from where we git into a ferry. The water was crystal clear, beautiful greens around and we were on the roof top where I tried to film my second vlog intro and failed 4 times, it was so windy.
After 20 minutes of ferry ride got off and waited for a speed boat to come pick us up. Then hopped on , had no idea that it will be the most beautiful and interesting ride.
It totally felt like I was in movie Black water, remember how that family was in middle of water jungle in a boat and finally became alligator's food. Can you believe I asked boat wala bhaiya if there were some alligators there and guess what he said yes, hehehe. The boat ride was quite long, around half an hour. The boat dropped us off on a wooden bridge.
So the boat ride left us on this wooden bride in the middle if a jungle and the boat wala accompanied us. As I hate to walk I asked him how much do we have to walk, he answered a few minutes , guess what we walked for an hour or so .
We passed a few wooden bridges, few staircases, different jumgles , pathes and finally reached out destination, Lime Stone Caves.
At first I thought what kind of caves are these, they were greyish but then our boat wala and guide to told that turned black because of water and human touch.
Entered the caves ate were totally mesmerised by what we saw. The caves are totally untouched and just beautiful. The caves have two hones on top for oxygen and a giant root if a tee, interesting right.
There are hundreds of caves but only one is open for public to see.
Now just wear your imagination cap and come with to see what nature made with limestone.
There were area where silica drips in the cave and a place where magnesium, that looks so pretty.
So after a taking a zillion pics we walked back , hopped on the boat , then ferry and then drove back to hotel.
after a long and tiring day we were totally ready to hit the sack but then pushed ourselves to dress up again and go out the Dinner in Andamans best restaurant Amaya which is in Seashell Hotel.
We hardly had 20 minutes to freshen up and glam up for a fancy resturant and guys, can you believe I managed somehow. The moment I entered the restaurant with my folks I felt so referesned and light. Cool breez, beautifully lit place with candles and little lanps all round and view that you see on a 20 rupee note, well it was not visible at night be still. (we managed to see it in the morning though )
As Delhights we had really high standards for food so started slow but were presently surprised by the ban on flavors of all the dishes. I had some wine, Although I hardly drink, don't even remember how many years back I had my last drink but this time I had too, the ambiance called for it.
The staff was so welcoming and kept asking if everything was according to our taste. If you ever visit Amaya, do try out their white sauce pasta , it was Delicious.
Then it was time to head to bed for a good night sleep.
Limestone Caves, Baratang, Andamans
A wonderful journey by boat to the Limestone Caves through the creek lined on either side by mangroves, followed by an exhilarating walk thru the forest. Since we were out of step with the other tourists, we had the place all to ourselves !
