This rocky outcrop at Wentworth Falls has been a popular lookout since the days of the first European visitors in 1813. It's easy to get to (Tableland Road, turn right to the bottom of Hordern Road) and there are no obstructing trees!

Blue Mountains part 3 - Lincoln's Rock and Cave.
This incredible lookout was only officially named ‘Lincoln’s Rock’ in 2013. Before that it went by a few different names: Flat Rock (it really is a big flat rock!), Wedding Rock (lots of couples have wedding-day photos taken there) and even Honeymoon Rock (if only the cliff was lined with sun lounges and waiters serving pina coladas!). Google recognises all its pseudonyms, but Lincoln’s Rock is the title that’s here to stay.
It’s named after Australian mountaineer Lincoln Hall who lived in Wentworth Falls for two decades and who died tragically from asbestos-related illness in 2012. Hall famously survived a night out in the elements near the summit of Mount Everest at 8700m, and was pronounced dead before being found alive the next day by rescuers (he wrote the book Dead Lucky about the ordeal).
As well as the all-encompassing views of Jamison Valley, which change colour throughout the day as the sun and clouds move overhead, the drawcard of Lincoln’s Rock is the impressive optical-illusion photo you can get as a memento, which makes it appear as though you’re sitting literally on the edge of a cliff. In truth you are, except that there’s a fairly safe ledge just below that would stop you from falling very far. But people who see your photo won’t know that – they’ll just think you like to live on the edge . (NB: no authorities would recommend you attempt to take this pic, and if you do it’s at your own risk!)
A great place to go with a picnic lunch on a fine day.
The Hanging Rock | Blue Mountains Hike (Baltzers Lookout)
Hey all! This has to be one of the most scariest hikes I've been to just because I'm terrified of heights. If you can't already tell by how much of a pansy I sounded in the video hahahahah
My boyfriends page: @perfxn
I really hope you all enjoyed it.
H I K E D E T A I L S
Difficulty: Easy (harder when you get to the cliff edge if your scared of heights like me because you need to climb down the rocks of the main lookout point)
Length of time: 2 hours return hike
Where: Google map search Baltzer Lookout

Sydney Australia⎜Blue Mountains⎜2018
Be one with mother nature and explore the heart of the enchanting Blue Mountains away from the concrete jungle of Sydney.
Few hours drive away from the city centre, transport yourself in a different realm and discover one of the world's picturesque mountain range. Ride the steepest incline railway in the world, dive into the forest of Blue Mountains National Park, see the world in a different perspective through the forest skyway, and go up and down the mountains in a cable car.
A little something about this place:
The Blue Mountains get their name from the natural blue haze created by vast eucalyptus forests in this World Heritage area. Tiny droplets of oil released from the trees mix with water vapour and sunlight to produce the distinctive colour.
Is it really blue? At first, my eyes could not convince my brain to think thats its really blue, but after spending hours of tiny-winsy-yeah-it-is-really-blue kind of thinking, I can now say that its really blue and not a different shade of gray.
