A Walk Around Lincoln Park, Manitowoc, Wisconsin
This is a nostalgic little film (thus the sentimental soundtrack) about a wonderful wooded park and zoo on the north side of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, called Lincoln Park. I have a many great childhood memories of the park, with my mom taking me to the zoo, pre-kindergarten, but most of the memories are from Junior High and High School. We used to hang as a large group on the bridges between the tennis courts every night during summers. Mostly because several in the group needed to smoke and not be seen. Later years, as underage teenagers, we would drink our beer and cheap wine in the woods. Thinking the cops were too lazy to get out of the car to look for nefarious teenagers. I think we were right, I never saw a cop go into the woods. So, this is another sentimental look into my youth during a hometown sojourn.

Lincoln Park Milwaukee Virtual Tour
Take a virtual tour of the newly remediated Lincoln Park and Milwaukee River by drone. The river looks like a patchwork grid because sediment was removed from targeted zones of contamination, rather than a mass removal from bank to bank. The grid is made more noticeable by the low water levels in the park, which cause vegetation to grow on exposed sediment. Construction areas will be restored to original condition, including turf grass and park amenities.
The remediation and restoration were performed as a partnership among the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and Milwaukee County Parks.

Menominee Park Zoo Oshkosh Wisconsin
Menominee Park in Oshkosh has a small zoo, play areas including Little Oshkosh, a beach, boat launch, baseball diamonds, lots of fishing, children's train, carousel, and other ride. It is an awesome park on Lake Winnebago, and almost everything is free, including the zoo. I believe the goal is to have animals that can stay year round.
