Woy Woy to Wondabyne (Great North Walk)
Another great day walk in Brisbane Water National Park. After a hike along the streets of Woy Woy, the walk enters the Park and soon joins up with the Great North Walk. It takes us over Mt Wondabyne and then across to Kariong Brook Falls before climbing up to join the Wondabyne to Mooney Track and then down to the cute little railway station of Wondabyne.
Kayaking NSW: Woy Woy to Rip Bridge Group Paddle, Central Coast
We started out from Woy Woy Lions Park with quite a larg group of regulars and newcomers to our group paddle.
There was plenty of action out on the water as we are moving into holiday season. Boats, Jet skis an other paddlers were all out and about which made for some fun wake surfing.
We paddle around through to St Huberts Island and had a rest at the beach. We then journeyed on to the Rip Bridge where the current was moving extremely fast - even the boats were struggling. A few of the braver kayakers paddled hard against the current to make it to the otherside, and for others the choppy water resulted in a cold dip in the water with a flipped kayak.
Pearl Beach & Lion Island I 4K I Aerial cinematography
Pearl Beach is a suburb of Gosford City on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Located south of Umina Beach, being separated from it by a ridge upon which sits Mount Ettalong at a height of 56 metres (184 ft). It is bounded on the west and south by Brisbane Water National Park, and on the east by Broken Bay. Green Point, with Paul Landa Reserve, adjoins the southern end of the beach.

Start of the Great North Walk - Sydney to Boronia Park
This is the spiritual start and zero point of the Great North Walk. Leaving from The Obelisk in Macquarie Place, the walk takes us to Circular Quay and then by ferry to Woolwich, going past many of the Sydney Harbour icons. From there the walk is along shady streets, tracks, paths and laneways through the well-to-do suburb of Hunters Hill to Boronia Park.
In rallying terms this could be considered a transport stage to get you to the real start of the walk, but it has many interesting and pleasant features that make it a nice walk by itself.
BTW, I have now produced video for the whole of the GNW from the start in Sydney city to the Mooney Mooney Trackhead (that's around 100kms of the track).
I have them sorted on my website. Simply enter monroe3004 sites in your browser to find the site and click on Bush Walking and look for Great North Walk.
