Woy Woy is a coastal town and a southern suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located on the southern reaches of Brisbane Water 79 km north of Sydney. The Australian Reptile Park is located at Somersby on the Central Coast, New South Wales in Australia. It is about 50 kilometres North of Sydney, and is just off the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway. The park is home to a variety of reptiles, including snakes, lizards and crocodiles, as well as other Australian animals, such as koalas, kangaroos, cassowaries and Tasmanian devils. The park is heavily involved in snake and spider venom collection for use in the production of Antivenom and is credited for saving the lives of thousands. It is an institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association .

Woy Woy - The Venice of Australia

An area of considerable beauty, Woy Woy on the Central Coast is a quiet, easily accessible town with a relaxed seaside charm.

A town in the Gosford area, Woy Woy was first settled in the 1820s, and the local timbers, felled by timber getters and convicts, were used for boat building. Since the rail line opened from Sydney in 1888, Woy Woy has also been a tranquil stopping point for many travellers and tourists.

Activities around this area include boating, swimming, fishing and exploring the surrounding waterways and national parks. Take a walk from Pearl Beach to Patonga, glimpsing the fine ocean panorama through the beautiful Red Gums of Brisbane Water. Staples Lookout also offers a fantastic view of Brisbane Water and Woy Woy Bay.
