Henry Archibald Hertzberg Lawson was an Australian writer and bush poet. Along with his contemporary Banjo Paterson, Lawson is among the best-known Australian poets and fiction writers of the colonial period and is often called Australia's greatest short story writer.A vocal nationalist and republican, Lawson regularly contributed to The Bulletin, and many of his works helped popularise the Australian vernacular in fiction. He wrote prolifically into the 1890s, after which his output declined, in part due to struggles with alcoholism and mental illness. Lue .. a small Australian Village

Lue is a small village in New South Wales, Australia. At the 2006 census, Lue and the surrounding rural area had a population of 815.

Lue is located on the now-closed Gwabegar railway line between the larger towns of Rylstone and Mudgee, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south-east of Mudgee. It is not on the main road, but the NSW TrainLink bus services from Gulgong detours several times a week to service Lue.

Lue was prosperous after the opening of the railway to Mudgee in 1884, but declined from the 1930s. Lue Hotel and Lue Pottery are businesses still in operation.

Sunnyside Rail Bridge, Tenterfield, NSW

Sunnyside Rail Bridge was constructed from 1882 to 1888 over Tenterfield Creek to service the line from Glen Innes to Wallangara NSW. It is situated approx 12k north of Tenterfield.
The Tenterfield Creek railway bridge is a heritage-listed former railway bridge that carried the Main North line across the Tenterfield Creek from Sunnyside (a rural place in north-west Tenterfield) to Jennings, both in the Tenterfield Shire local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by John Whitton and Engineer-in-Chief for NSW Government Railways and built in 1888. The bridge is also known as the Sunnyside rail bridge over Tenterfield Creek. The property is owned by RailCorp, an agency of the Government of New South Wales and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999

Back out on the Turon River to pass on some gold panning tips to a new prospector. Between the three of us we panned for around two hours and found some color quite easily.
