Bungendore is a town in the Queanbeyan Region of New South Wales, Australia, in Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. It is on the Kings Highway near Lake George, the Molonglo River Valley and the Australian Capital Territory border. It has become a major tourist centre in recent years, popular with visitors from Canberra and some of it has heritage protection. It has expanded rapidly in recent years as a dormitory town of Canberra.

Lake George is an endorheic lake in south-eastern New South Wales, Australia. It is approximately 40 kilometres north-east of Canberra located adjacent to the Federal Highway en route to Goulburn and Sydney. Lake George is also the name of a locality on the western and southern edges of the lake, within the area of the Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional Council.

It is a member of ARAZPA and has had success in breeding programs for endangered species, including the snow leopard, cotton-top tamarin, Black-and-white ruffed lemur, red panda, and Sumatran tiger. BIG4 Bungalow Park on Burrill Lake - Sites presented by Peter Bellingham Photography

We are approximately 230km south of Sydney (a pleasant and scenic 3 hour drive) and approximately 200km east of Canberra through the historic townships of Bungendore and Braidwood (about a 2.5 hour drive). Ideally situated, BIG4 Bungalow Park on Burrill Lake is 26 acres of groomed lawns, gardens and native flora with absolute lake frontage to beautiful Burrill Lake and only 1km from the surf beach at Dolphin Point.

We offer a range of accommodation choices from fully self contained three bedroom Spa Villas that comfortably sleep up to eight people, to cozy one bedroom Cottages for short stays or a couple. Our spacious caravan and camping sites cater for all manner of caravans, mobile homes, camper trailers and tents and RV's. Our waterfront powered sites have an amazing outlook over beautiful Burrill Lake. Ever since the road upgrade of Main Rd 92, this is now the quickest in time and shortest in distance.
Ignore the Google time estimator. On average it's about 2 and half hours.

There is still about 7 km's of gravel road on the Turpentine Rd, but you can head toward Albatross and take the BTU Rd which will add a little more time. Then just take Jervis Bay Rd.
